avery hits seventeen years old and is immediately kicked out of her home. all because she discovered she has a brother. ashton irwin. he lives all the way in california while here she is in tennesseee, no money, no car, nothing. she sighs softly before going to her best friends house.

"aves! how are you? have you been crying?" emily swigs open her front to see the seventeen year old crying on her doorstep.

"d-dad kicked me out. i have a b-brother in california" avery sobbs into her friends shoulder. trying to catch her breath, emily leads her to the couch and sits her down mumbling a quick be right back she runs upstairs to her mom.

"here. go find your brother but don't forget about me." emily smiles and hands avery a plane ticket to california.

avery is woken up by phoenix's crying soon following with penelope's screams as well. she sighs softly before walking in their nursery to see calum rocking and singing the two screaming babies back to sleep.

"planning on stealing my kids hood?" she always has found calum attractive and seeing him be so good to her two babies definitely adds another level to the attractiveness.

"maybe. they're pretty cute." he smirks at her before lying penelope in her crib and turning around to face the small girl in the doorway. she's wearing a green hoodie with the word 'empathy' written across of it with a small pair of pajama shorts. calum recognizes this hoodie almost immediately, he lost it almost two years ago.

"in your dreams hood." avery scoffs before turning on her heels to walk back into her room.

"cool hoodie ave." calum calls after her, a slight smirk resting on his face. she doesn't say anything in return before closing the door to her bedroom.

avery had no idea where this hoodie came from, just knew she had a certain attachment to it. but it seems like calum knows.
