Ted was nervous as he pulled into his mother's driveway. The reason for his nervousness? His mother would finally meet his girlfriend of two years today.

His mother was a very accepting person but he didn't know if she would accept just how out of this world his girlfriend is. "That third eye is really gonna make her croak." Ted mumbled to himself as he turned off the car.

He stepped out of the car and looked at his mother's one-story house, it was a nice little cozy place. Something that looked straight out of a postcard too with a nice little garden in the front and a chimney made out of red bricks on the side.

Ted started marching up the steps much like a condemned man marches toward his execution, a bit much but hey Ted felt much like a dead man walking. He rapped on the door.

The door creaked open as his mother stood there with a look of joy on her face "oh my little Theodore!" She exclaimed as she hugged him. "Mom please the neighbors." "Oh please let them watch my little baby!" She said just ignoring him.

"Mom!" Ted groaned.

"Oh well come in! Come in!" She said as she dragged Ted inside.

She closed the door behind them and asked "well where is she?" "Where's who mom?" Asked Ted.

His mother just giggled and said "the girl you've been seeing for two years silly" Ted then gulped and said, "she'll be here in a bit mom."

As his mother walked past him and into the kitchen with Ted, she said "why I just can't wait to meet her!" She then whipped around at Ted and said "she has to be special if she's been with you for two years."

"Mom please," Ted groaned out. Ted's mother just giggled as she said "I'm sorry honey but it's a mother's duty to make fun of her baby boy." She then got a little tearful as she continued to speak.

"Especially when he's all grown up and has a woman with him." Ted just hugged his mother and said "I love you mom."

As he stepped away from his mother he said "mom before she arrives I uh just want to prepare you for her." She flat out lagged and said "oh my boy whatever do you mean prepare me for her?"

He rubbed the back of his head saying "well mom it's just that...she isn't like other girls." Ted's mother just rolled her eyes isn't that what all the boys and girls say today?

"Isn't that what all you kids say nowadays?" She asked with a smirk.

Ted put his face in his palm and sighed saying "yeah mom sure but like I mean it this time."

Ted's mother once again giggled and said "oh I'm sure you do Ted." Ted once again sighed, he didn't know how hard it would be but it was turning into a herculean effort. 'Perhaps I should just let her be surprised' Ted thought.

But just as soon as that thought entered his mind another one popped up. 'NO! You can't do that! She'll have a damn heart attack on the spot!'

"Yeah that third eye" Ted whispered to himself, his mother pricked up "hmm you say something dear?" She asked.

"No mom" Ted replied back. "I just uh gotta go to the bathroom real quick," he said hesitantly. Ted's mother could tell her little baby boy was nervous and thought it was funny, she had been accepting of all his girlfriends in the past even if she really didn't think they were right for her little boy.

Whatever made this one different she didn't know but hey she would just continue to tease him about it and let him go to the bathroom. "Oh okay Ted I'll just be busy in here," she said. Ted quickly made off for the bathroom and shut the door.

Ted took a deep breath as he looked at his reflection in the mirror saying "okay Ted come on you can do this." He then smirked and said, "I mean what's the worst that can happen?" As he thought about all the possible scenarios in his head, none were all too pleasant from his mother having a heart attack from fright to her flat-out not accepting just how different his new girl was.

"Okay, hence why I've got to get her ready for Maxine." He said to his reflection.

As he exited the bathroom he hyped himself up for the task ahead of him. To some, it may seem like a simple task but to Ted, it was like fighting a dragon.

As Ted entered the kitchen he said "alright mom I'm gonna tell you about Maxine." "oh is that her name?" His mother asked interrupting him.

"Uh yes. Yes, it is." He said.

Ted then shook his head "but listen, mom, there's something else I've gotta tell you" unfortunately before he could finish the doorbell rang. Ted gulped his mother on the other hand gasped in excitement "oh that must be her! Oh let's go and greet her!"

She then walked to the door faster than Ted had seen her do before, he followed after her steeling himself for her reaction to Maxine. Ted's mother opened the door and got her first look at Maxine, her baby boy's new special girl.

She had her average features such as her slender figure as well as nice breast. And of course her wild untamed blonde hair. Of course, Ted's mother could never forget Maxine's more exotic features such as her skin color a mix of blue and orange and green as well as her three beautiful purple eyes.

"Um hi miss Baxter it's really nice to finally meet you," Maxine said shyly as she waved with one of her tentacle-like arms. Ted's mother just stood silent for what felt like hours to Ted.

Ted of course was waiting for the worst.

Then all of a sudden his mother turned to him, smiled and said: "I guess you were right Ted she really isn't like other girls."
