𓅫

Maze was sleeping soundly when there was three sharp rasps against the cell door. Emilia glanced up from the book she was reading, The maze runner, it was a good book and she was glad she'd been able to grab it on her "free time" the other day. The door scratched across the floor as it opened the sound of metal on metal filling the room. Needless to say Maze was now awake. For once. Lia swore that girl did more sleeping than breathing.

The pair of guards had both girls against the wall clipping something around their wrists. "It's been nice knowing you Stanley." Maze nodded goodbye while craning her neck to see Emilia.

"Feelings mutual Hawkins." Lia gave a firm nod back, chuckling at Maze's faux seriousness.

"Enough talking." One of the goons -guards - said bluntly as he pulled Lia from the wall and started marching her towards the door. Similar but heavier footsteps behind her proved that Maze was also being marched out of their cell.

All around other criminals were in the same situation. Being pulled and lead by guards from their cells to the unknown.

The straps clicked together locking after Lia had sat down. Her and Maze were close to the back of the drop ship. Emilia knew what was happening now. They were being sent to earth, all one hundred of them. On the ground they'd be completely stuck with each other. Lia's gaze shot to where infamous Finn Collins, now spacewalker, was sat. Then to Maze who was strapped in next to her, her jacket folded uncomfortably under the belts and her legs kicking the chair in front of her. They'd be stuck together for better or for worse.

As the drop ship was ejected Raven flashed into Emilia's mind. What was she doing right now? Would she find out that her and Finn were gone? Did she still hate her? Her thoughts fell silent as the ship crashed into the earth's atmosphere. A screen on the front wall of the ship turned on. Jaha's face was shown as a pre-recorded video explaining why they were sent to earth played. Choosing to ignore the video and focus on keeping her breathing steady Emilia started naming the delinquents she knew as a distraction.

Finn obviously and unfortunately. Two boys that she thought were Jasper and Monty, they got her weed one time. In front of her was none other than the Chancellor's son. Wells Jaha. Next to him was Clarke Griffin, Lia had heard about her being put in solitary and about her dad. The only thing she didn't know was the why. There was a girl on the far side of the ship who's name didn't come to mind but Emilia was certain that they'd danced at one the unity day masquerades. Through her haze of zoning out she was vaguely able to hear someone yelling at Wells, "Your dad's a dick Wells!" In this instance Lia was inclined to agree.

A chorus of cheers erupted as the spacewalker struck again. Finn floated up out of his seat, ignoring Wells' warnings to stay in his seat. He hovered over to the row in front of Lia and Maze. "Check it out your dad floated me after all." He joked smugly while looking down at Wells. Lia scoffed to herself quietly.

"He's worse than I imagined." Maze admitted beside her. Emilia chuckled at her best friend's blunt humour as she nodded in complete agreement.

Lia turned to her friend, ignoring the way the belts dug into her side. "He's worse once you get to know him" Emilia reassured her friend.

Emilia knew that soon the parachutes would be deploying, or at least they should be. She'd studied enough schematics and textbooks to know how all of this worked. She felt her breathing speed up as she thought what would happen if the parachutes didn't deploy. They'd crash into the earth at tens of thousands of miles an hour killing everyone on board. Pressure on her hand dragged her away from her thoughts.
