The next day was spent making Jasper comfortable. Not easy for someone who's in constant pain. They'd awkwardly gotten him to the second deck of the drop ship.
Throughout the night and day he'd been screaming while drifting in and out of consciousness. Lia had been doing what she could to help but in reality she just sat and watched Clarke work. There wasn't much she could do apart from comfort Jasper through the pain. Even that didn't feel like enough.
Maze had been helping where she could, getting water, collecting clean cloths, anything she could to be useful. She'd watched the worried look on her friend's face get worse as time went on. Emilia cared too much in maze's opinion but that was what made her Emilia. She cared when no one else would be.
As the moon rose casting its ivory glow across camp Jasper became more restless. Delinquents trying to sleep on the level below were becoming increasingly irritated with his shouts. It wasn't like Jasper could help the amount of pain he was in but they didn't care. They just wanted to sleep.
"Can't he just die already?" Some idiot shouted up. Ignorant assholes, the lot of them.
"Shut the fuck up idiot!" Lia yelled banging her fist against the metal floor. The complaints fell silent after her shout. If one of them made another noise she was going to kill them herself.
Clarke excused herself to go grab some more water. Insisting that Maze stay in the drop ship trying to rest. Like that was possible.

When day broke Jasper was no better off. The group had spent the night having restless naps as one or two watched over him.
Maze had gone off to grab some air, as tough as she acted all of this was getting to her. Lia had stayed in the drop ship working twice as hard with Monty to contact the Ark.
Clarke was taking a closer look at each of Jasper's wounds. Informing the rest of them on what she found. Not that they completely understood all the medical talk.
"The grounders cauterized his wound," Clarke said amazed, "they saved his life."
Emilia scoffed from the workbench, "Yeah saved him to be used as bait at a later date." Lia looked at the younger boy empathetically. "That's not being saved."
Clarke frowned inspecting one of the worse injuries. Cleaning away the blood with a cloth her face grew serious. "This is infected, he could be septic."
"Any progress on using the wristbands to contact the Ark?" Clarke asked as Monty stared focused solely on his best friend. "Monty." Clarke said firmly.
"No," Lia answered waiting for Monty to refocus, "we've not had any luck." She shot a sympathetic smile to Monty as he held his head in his hands.
"My mother would know what to do." Clarke muttered under her breath. The blonde had been feeling helpless for hours. Lia could see the distress in Clarke's eyes as she nursed Jasper.
Heavy footsteps broke up their solemn conversations as Wells joined them, "How's he doing?"
Clarke glared back at him for the stupid question before snapping at him. Lia took this as her sign to distance herself from that conversation.
