1- pilot

Rosewood, Pennsylvania
The group of 5 girls sat in the Hastings barn whilst the thunder and lightning crashed just outside. The girls sat laughing, chatting and passing around a drink. The lights flickered and then went out. "Woah, what happened?" Aria questions turning on her torch. "I don't know. It must have been the storm." Spencer explains. Then there was a loud creak from the door. "Something is out there." Aria whispers. The door blows open with the wind, letting in a cold chill. We all got up to investigate the creaking noise. We stand looking at the door as Aria shines her torch in the direction. A sudden crash then occurs and we all scream, huddled together. We all move closer to the door and see a shadow from outside. "Gotcha!" Alison leaps out from behind the barn door. We all squeal and let out a sigh of relief. Ali giggles as the lightning illuminates her. "So not funny Alison." Spencer says. We all laugh together as we walk back to the seats. "Did you download the new Beyoncé song yet?" Hanna asks Ali. "Not yet." She replies. "I'm loving her new video." Emily adds. "Maybe a little too much em." Ali jokes. Ali passes Aria the drink and she takes a big gulp. "Careful Aria, drink too much and you'll tell us all your secrets." Spencer laughs. "Friends share secrets. That's what keeps us close." Ali tells us, "Drink up." Eventually we all end up asleep. I'm shaken awake by Aria, "Where's Ali and Spencer." Hanna asks. "We don't know." Aria says, standing and walking towards the barn door. "Ali!" She calls out. "She's gone." Spencer returns. "What do you mean she's gone?" I ask, standing. "I've looked everywhere, I think I heard her scream." Spencer tells us.

One year later
I wake up to that annoying beep of my alarm. I smack it a few times and the beeping stops. I get up and make my way downstairs. I'm greeted by my mum and my youngest sister, Isobel. "Good Morning sweetie." Says my mum in a cheerful tone. "Morning." I reply. I grabbed some breakfast and sat down with Isobel. I grabbed the tv remote and pressed the power button. "Rosewood teen still missing. Last year..." I turned the tv off and went back to my room, leaving my half-eaten breakfast on the table. I look at my phone and see a text from Noel.

Noel
Hey I'm throwing a party tonight at the cabin. Wanna come? x

Me
Sure. I'll see you around 8ish. x

Alr. Love you. x

Love you too. x

Me and Noel Khan started dating after Ali disappeared. He a really good guy actually he just acts jerky towards other people to be "cool". I got up off my bed and went to find an outfit for tonight. I picked this really pretty dark blue dress to wear.

A few hours later
I'm just leaving to go to Noels when my younger sister Olivia walks down the stairs. "Where are you going." She asks me. "Just going to Noels." I tell her then leave.
I get to Noels and knock on his door. He opens the door and picks me up into a massive hug. "Hey baby." He says. "Hi babe." I say, kissing him. He carries me inside and we sit on the couch with me on his lap. It was a very small, quiet party for the Khans. There was only around 15 people there just chatting and drinking with friends. Me and Noel are sat with Eric, Noels older brother, his girlfriend and some other guys who I'm assuming are his friends. "Should we spice this party up a bit?" Eric asks. "What were you thinking?" Noel questions. "How about 7- minutes in heaven." Eric suggests. We all agree with nods or mumbles of "sure". "Ok, I'll start it off." Him and his girlfriend go upstairs and return around 7 minutes later. Finally it is Noels turn and he grabs my hand and leads me to the stairs. Noel whispers something to Eric before leading me to the bedroom upstairs. As soon as we get into the room Noel grabs me and starts kissing me passionately. He pushes me onto the bed and gets on top of me. Things get heated and we go further. (You know)

I wake up the next day and see Noel in the bed next to me. "Hey beautiful." He says kissing my forehead. "Morning." I reply. I look him in the eyes and realise that I really love this guy.

The few days later
It's the first day back to school and me an Noel walk together hand in hand. I see Aria standing with Emily at the front of the school. I slightly smile and continue to walk into school. Me and Noel walk to our first class together, English. We take our regular seats at the back and get ready for the lesson to start. The teacher looks over the class and partially stares at Aria. The class turn to look as her phone goes off and she whispers something beneath her breath after looking at her phone.

At lunch me and Noel sit together and eat. Then suddenly I feel like I'm going to throw up. I run to the bathroom without explanation and empty my lunch into the toilet. Someone enters the bathroom. It's Noel. I wipe my mouth and say, "you can't be in here." He comes and sits down by me in the bathroom stall. He puts his arm behind me and pulls me closer to his side and I place my head on his chest. "What's wrong baby?" He asks. "I don't know." I mutter into his chest. "Do you feel the need to throw up again?" He asks me. I shrug my shoulders. We sat there for a few minutes until the bell for next lesson went. I didn't want to be in school anymore so Noel took me home. On the way home we stopped at the shop. I grabbed some pain relief pills and the one thing I dreaded buying, a pregnancy test. I just wanted to be 100% sure. After I paid I met Noel outside. We then drove home. "Ok. I love you. I'll see you tomorrow." Noel said kissing my forehead before I left the car. "Bye. Love you." I said closing the door. Then I went in my house as he drove away. No one was home yet so I went upstairs to the bathroom. I got the test out and did it. 'Takes two minutes for results to show.' I read from the box. After two minutes, I looked at the results. It was positive. "Oh god." I whispered to myself. My phone went off.

Oh, how cute. Starting a little family. Wonder what Noel will say. -A

Then my mum came home. I quickly hid the test in my bedroom and went downstairs. "Hey sweetie. Just sit down a sec." She tells me as I walk into the living room. "What's up?" I asked. "So, um. They found Alison's body, sweetie." She told me. "What? You mean she's dead?" I question. She nods. "How's she dead. She can't be dead." I says as I run back up to my room. I lie on my bed and just think, 'what am I going to do?'

About a week later
Today was the day of Ali's funeral. Me, my parents and both of my younger sisters walked to the church. There were news reporters with cameras everywhere broadcasting this to the tv. I just couldn't believe this, she was really gone. We walked in and saw Mrs D "I'm so glad you came." She said as she hugged me, "all the other girls are sat at the front if you'd like to join. It's what Alison would have wanted." I nodded and walked to the front. Seeing the coffin there it just seemed so surreal. I saw the girls and sat down beside them. "Hey." I said as I sat. "Hi. We were just talking about how Ali would have loved this scene." Aria tells me. "That true." I chuckle. Arias phone and she looked at her text. "Anyone we know?" Hanna questions. "No it's just my mom texting me." She tells her. We all just look at her. "Emily and I aren't the only ones getting texts from 'A' are we?" She asks. Loud murmurs are heard from behind us. Spencer turns around, "oh my god. It's Jenna." We all turn to see Jenna being lead by her brother, Toby, to a seat. "Did you see that Jenna Marshall is here?" Mrs D comes an sits down next to us, "I didn't realise that she and Ali were friends." "Thy weren't." Spencer informs her. After the funeral has finished we all walked out together but we're stops by someone. "Emily, Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Nova." The man says. "Do we know you?" Spencer asks. "I'm detective Wilden. I understand that you were all good friends with the victim." He says as he hands Spencer a card. "Yeah. We were." Said Aria. "I'm gonna need to talk to each one of you." He told us. "We talked to the police when Ali went missing." Said Spencer. "And I intend to go over all of your statements. As this is no longer a missing persons investigation. It's a murder." He stated, "and rest assured I will find out what happened that summer." He walked away and we saw Jenna get into her car with her brother Toby. "Do you think he knows about the..." Aria started. "No. How could he?" Hanna interrupted. All of our phones went off at the same time and we all read out the message. "I'm still here bitches..." Spencer started. "...And I know everything -A." We all continued together.
