I get on my bike and ride around my neighborhood then I see a girl with long brown hair, she has amber eyes, and looks about my age.
I ride my bike over to her. "Hey, I'm Nanette, Nanette Fraser," I say holding out my hand.
"Madiline, Madiline King" she says shaking my hand. She was wearing a Nirvana t-shirt, with denim jeans, and black converse.
We see 3 boys riding their bikes really fast and are coming towards us, "come here Nanette!" one of the boys yelled in a devilish tone.
"Shit! Come on!" I say as me and Madiline get on our bikes and ride very fast.
"Nanette Fraser is a bitch!" another boy said.
"And Johnathan Stig! Is a pig!" I say flipping him off.
"What the hell are you doing!" Madiline says pushing my shoulder.
"Don't worry. He's been doing this since I was 7."

Thankfully, me and Madiline outran them. We got to the bridge where the train goes over, we put our bikes under the bridge. I saw 2 bikes, one looked familiar one didn't, we heard screaming. I took Madiline's hand and we walked towards the screaming.
We saw Tony beating up some kid, "oh my god!" Madiline said scared.
"Don't worry I know this kid," I say before I yell Tony's name, "Tony!"
He looked up and saw me, "what!?"
"Come here!"
He dropped the kid, and ran over to us, "hey Nanette. Who's this?" he said pointing to Madiline.
"This is Madiline, Madiline King"
"Nice to meet you Madiline" he said having his hand out for her to shake it.
"Nice to meet you to" she said shaking his hand and smiling, "but why did you beat up that kid?"
"He was just shit-talking 'bout my sister" he said leaning on the wall. I saw how Madeline looked at Tony, she had that look in her eye that she thought he was cute. I mean he was. Not that I like Tony! Just that he kinda is, and they just met, so I didn't think she would like him this quickly, but I mean we all know the saying 'love at first sight'. And me and Tony have been friends since we were born so it would be weird if I liked him -- right?

We sat in silence for a while until I brought something up.
"Y'all smoke?" I say looking up.
"Yea" Madiline says, "You?" she said looking over at Tony.
"Nah, I don't."
I hand Madiline a cigarette.
"Y'all wanna play truth or dare?" Tony says wiping some dirt off his pants.
I don't really play truth or dare because I know I'm gonna get exposed or expose a friend. But I kinda did because I want to know Madiline better.
"Sure" I say then Madiline repeats.
"Ok, I'll go first -- Mads, truth or dare?" Tony said turning his body towards Madiline.
"Uh, truth" she said smiling a bit.
"Have you ever kissed someone?"
"Yes"
