I was sitting on the couch, reading a new book I had really been into, it was a fictional true crime book and I couldn't put it down.

Dove was in our room, I wasn't entirely sure what she was doing but I heard her talking, I couldn't make out what she was saying but I just assumed she was on FaceTime with Lauren or Madison.

After reading for about 20 minutes I finally got to a point where I thought it would be good to stop and I decided to get up and see what my girlfriend was up to, to be honest I really just wanted attention. One thing I love about Dove is she's so good at dealing with my random spurts of clinginess because she's exactly the same way so it's mutual.

I walked to the kitchen grabbing a water bottle, before heading in to the bedroom. I opened the door to see Dove laying in bed with her phone in front of her face.

She looked at me with an odd face, but she didn't say anything so I assumed it was nothing. I made my way over to the other side of the bed and placed my water on the nightstand. I climbed next to dove placing my head on her chest. "Hi bab-".

But that's when I realized why she looked at me the way she did, and why as soon as I laid down she moved the phone away.

She was on Instagram live. See the thing was Dove and I we are both out and proud, but we weren't out as a couple.

We wanted to keep our relationship private, because it was easier to enjoy it that way without everyone being up in your business. People were definitely suspecting things but we could play it off as friends until confirmed, but this was going to be a little hard to play off.

I quickly got up, but I'm assuming that it was too late "yes that is Y/N". I smiled lightly, she smiled back "one second guys". She paused the live and sat up motioning for me to come and sit next to her, I sat down as she draped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer.

"Baby, I don't want to just drop this on you, because if you're not ready we can wait, but what if we stopped trying to hide as much and just you know left it up to their imagination, you know dropping more hints". I smiled leaning in to place a soft kiss on her lips "I'm perfectly fine with that, I would love to be able to show off what is mine".

She chuckled lightly, leaning in placing a gentle kiss on my lips. I placed my arms on her hips, as she began deepening the kiss, moving to my jawline and making her way down to my neck. I pulled away "ok horny ass, calm down even though it's paused you're still on Instagram live". She groaned "babe be fucking for real, you didn't just do that".

I laughed and sat back, leaning against the headboard. She picked up her phone and went back to the live stream. The comments were rolling in. "OMG MY SHIPPP" and "I knew they were dating". I pointed them out to dove and she smiled. "Guys yes that is Y/N".

I waved at the camera "hey guys, we are bored ask us questions". They did just that "omg are you guys dating?", "are you guys a couple, my ship needs to sail!!!" and various other forms of everyone's burning question.

Dove placed her hand on top of mine, looking at me asking for my reassurance that I wanted to do this, I nodded smiling resting my head on her shoulder.

She laughed at this one comment that said "omg my gay moms, can you guys please adopt me?"

I read it out-loud "omg should we adopt a kid?" Dove laughed "yesss send the paperwork and we will sign it". We continued answering questions for about an hour and then decided to get off.

Once we got off we decided to chill and watch the new Netflix series "Dahmer" that we had been obsessed with. Me being a criminology major in school and dove being a true crime junkie, we loved this shit.

We got some snacks and then got in bed cuddling up together to begin watching. We were about halfway through the episode when our phones kept going. It got to the point where we decided to pause the episode to see what it was about.

We were getting texts from our various friends and family members who had known we were dating. They were sending us screenshots of tweet and tabloids that had already released the information from the live.

I looked up at Dove who was also scrolling through the pictures "Damn they are fast". She laughed placing her phone next to her "No for real, but I'm happy now I can post cute pictures of you and show you off as mine in public".

I smiled leaning to place my head on doves chest, her arms wrapping around me as she placed a soft kiss on my head. "I love you princess". I picked up the remote "I love you too". I pressed play relaxing against dove.
