GUESS WHO JUST SURVIVED THE MIDTERM EXAM??? ofc it's me hello how are you?

anyways, i'll make this chapter longer than usual just for u as a gift since i took a hiatus all of the sudden (a MONTH???) hehehe enjoy

Jeonghan went to the bookstore. you might think, how could a person like Yoon Jeonghan ended up in the library when you know he's not that fond of books? well, a little backstory.

(a few moments ago)

"Joshuji~ where are you?" Jeonghan exclaimed since there's no signs of Joshua in their room. he steps outside and saw Joshua peacefully reading an english-folklore book at the sofa. he really looks like a total softboy there, the loose sweater, messy hair, the eyeglasses, everything.

"oh Hannie! what's up?" Joshua looks up at him with the cutest smile you can think of. Jeonghan just really wanted to squish his boyfriend's face since his eyes also smiled when his lips do (how cute is that?)

"can i ask you something?" the older asked. Joshua nodded slowly as he calmly closes his book and fixes his position which is facing Jeonghan. "what is it?"

"what kind of books are you into right now?" Jeonghan asked as he scratches his neck in embarrassment since Joshua knew that Jeonghan didn't really like books in general (except comics, Jeonghan has a whole collection). Joshua tilted his head in confusion, what has got inside his mind?

"umm, any kinds of english-folklore. i'm inlove with those kinds of books lately! why are you asking anyway?" Joshua said. Jeonghan froze for a while but still tried to figure out for an answer. "well uh, i want to prove my friend that my boyfriend is really fond of books since he thought both you and me did not have special bonds with books, hehe"

Joshua nodded in understandment and stood up, walking towards Jeonghan. he cupped his face and kissed both side off Jeonghan's cheeks. leaving Jeonghan flustered.

"Hannie, your cheeks are turning red" Joshua chuckled as he finds it cute whenever Jeonghan is flustered. "shut it, now i got to go, my friends are waiting for me. see you later Joshuji" he quickly replied as he pecks Joshua's lips and leaves the apartment.

(present time)

Jeonghan walks around the hallways trying to find where's all those folklore types of books at. after a few minutes of searching he finally find the section at the second floor of the bookstore. "damn, i don't know a book store could be this big" he thought.

he stays at the section for a while as he reads a few pages of the books and read the synopsis as well. he ended up bringing 2 books which is a short series and 1 sidestory. he walks down to the cashier and pay the books and leave the bookstore as soon as he got his bag of books on his hands.

when he got home, Joshua was not home. he already told Jeonghan that he had to attend his friend's birthday nearby. Jeonghan decided to make this books as a surprise. then, he wraps the books with a gift paper and folds it neatly.

not long after, his gift is ready. he also bought a few roses on his way back home just to be a little romantic.

"Hannie! i'm home!" she shouted. Jeonghan quickly put his presents on the coffee table and greeted him.

"welcome home, Joshua. how's today?" Jeonghan greeted as he kissed Joshua's forehead . Joshua looked up and smiled, "today was awesome! we played lots of games there!" he exclaimed. Joshua tilted his body a bit and saw a stacks of presents near the sofa. Joshua looks back at Jeonghan in confusion.

"Hannie, what is that?" he asked. Jeonghan just smiled, "open it for yourself"

Joshua walks to the presents and gently open the wrapping while Jeonghan just stood a few steps away from him. once he opened the presents, his widened his eyes in shock and looks up at Jeonghan who's smiling at him. he stood up and hugs Jeonghan immediately.

"i've always wanted this books! thank you so much Hannie!" Joshua cried. Jeonghan chuckled and carresses the younger's hair and kisses his cheeks slightly. "i thought you're not really into books, did you go to the bookstore for me?"

"i thought that you might need a new book since i've seen you reading the same books lately. i don't know which one would you like so i randomly picked it myself" Jeonghan explained. Joshua got teared up and hugs the older again. Jeonghan was shocked and quickly wipes the tears off of Joshua's face. "there there, don't cry" he chuckled.

Joshua faintly smiled, "i love you, Jeonghan, i really do"

"i love you more, Joshua. more than anything"
