epilogue: #30

it was a saturday night when Joshua lied down on the couch reading his book while waiting for Jeonghan to come back from work.

today was their anniversary, and Joshua planned to take Jeonghan on a date. but it seems like Jeonghan is to busy to even come home early. honestly, Joshua wasn't surprised that Jeonghan came home late more than usual since his work is also important.

a few moments later, someone knocked on the door.

Joshua stood up and walked closer to the door and opened it slowly, revealing Jeonghan in his formal suit and tidy hair. Joshua smiled and took a step aside to let Jeonghan in.

"how's work, Hannie?" Joshua asked as he closed the door. Jeonghan looked back and nodded, "same as usual. nothing new"

Joshua noticed there is a bouquet of flowers on his hands. but Joshua didn't think of it much, maybe just for decorations.

Jeonghan smiled, looking at Joshua. he didn't see the bouquet huh?

"Joshuji, come closer" Jeonghan gestured Joshua to come closer to him. Joshua did. Joshua made a confused expression and looked at Jeonghan in the eyes.

"what is it?"

Jeonghan then took out the bouquet, revealing roses and daisies being arranged beautifully. Joshua gasped and closes his mouth with his hands as he looked at Jeonghan in shock.

"that's so sweet of you!" Joshua exclaimed as he hugged Jeonghan tightly. Jeonghan giggled and hugs the younger back. radiating the warmth making both of them comfortable with each other. Jeonghan adored Joshua. more than anything. Joshua is like the source of his happiness, the place he would call 'home', the perfect being for him to vent all his stories to, and he hopes that Joshua would feel the same as well.

as for Joshua, of course he do. he loves Jeonghan. Joshua can't show it well, but trust him, he cherised Jeonghan with all of his heart. meeting jeonghan feels so enchanting to him. he feels butterflies in his stomach whenever Jeonghan is around but he liked it anyways.

Jeonghan looked down at Joshua, smiling as he carressed the younger's soft silky hair. it feels like he's touching a cloud, it's so soft.

"thank you, Joshua" Jeonghan muttered.

"for what?"

"for coming into my life. you're like, the best thing that i can think of. your smile, your touch, your actions, your eyes, everything that you have is so special to me. the way you talk, the way you smile, the way you make me feel butterflies is insane. i just wanted to tell you that i adore you so much that i just want to hold you in my arms like this longer."

Jeonghan finally spoke. he always wanted to confess to his beloved ones like this, but he doesn't have the courage to.

"i know this may sound so cheesy but, i love you. i love you to the moon and back, Joshua."

Joshua teared up, touched by his boyfriend's sweet words. unable tohold the tears much longer, he let it all out in Jeonghan's embrace.

"Jeonghan...i love you more. i'm sorry that i can't be a good boyfriend to you. but believe me, i actually love you."

Jeonghan smiled fondly. he cupped the younger's face and pecked his nose. Joshua giggled and pulled Jeonghan in for a kiss.
