Lydia's POV;
Despite stiles' utter stupidity and inability to form a singular wise thought, I had never expected him to do something like this to yn.
I saw the admiration in his eyes when he looked at her.
I saw the way his face lit up when she walked into the room.
I saw how his eyes brightened, and his cheeks turned a soft pink colour as he watched yn intently, studying her every move; the way her eyes glanced across the room, the way her lips formed a gentle smile as she caught his eyes resting on her.
I saw the way they cared for each other.
I watched them slowly fall in love, I watched them constantly put themselves into harm's way just to keep the other happy.
Yn would've died for him.
You could see it in her eyes as she looked up at him, when she wrapped her arms around him and clung to him to comfort herself.
It was impossible to miss.
But I suppose what they say is right- no matter how great something truly is; nothing ever lasts. No matter how badly you want it to, no matter how often you beg the universe to let you have this one thing, no matter how many sleepless nights you sit, staring up at your ceiling, reminiscing on every moment, every memory you cherish.
No matter how badly you want that thing to last, it never will.
The darkness will always engulf the light, strangling your slightest sense of hope, suffocating you and seeing how long you can suffer.
Always watching you, always testing you and wondering how far you're willing to go.
It's a strange thing.
To watch people fall in love and out of love again.
But it was different with yn and stiles.
They still loved each other deep down, you would be blind to not see that.
Yet with yn being cold and emotionless and stiles battling his own thoughts that are telling him he doesn't deserve her, it wouldn't be easy.
Despite the love stiles felt for her, even if he could overcome the thoughts that brainwashed him, I would be lying if I didn't say that yn and Isaac had something.
Something very different to what her and stiles had.
Sure, yn and stiles were adorable but the tension that yn and Isaac felt towards eachother was undeniable- you could feel it in the air, practically taste it.
I knew the pack noticed it too, including stiles; he may be absolutely idiotic but he wasn't completely and utterly blind and the way that yn peered up at Isaac, the look in her eyes, the way she felt so clearly comfortable around him, yet perfectly tense but never in a bad way, she liked how he made her feel.
She liked the way her heart pounded in her chest; so much you'd think it was due to explode.
She liked the way that one word from him could make her breath hitch and her cheeks go bright red, she liked the way he cared for her, she liked the way he knew her, better than stiles even.
Yet it was clear that she was blatantly aware of the control that she had over him, the way that one look from her would make him weak in the knees, the way she could make him do anything she wanted just by flashing him a smile or placing a small kiss on his almost too smooth lips.
