Wakko's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling... something. Like I was...worried, but I couldn't figure out why. Maybe I forgot something? No. Maybe I was nervous? Wait. Why would I be- y/n. Yes. That was it. I wanted to tell her. But not now! Why would I wake her up because of-

"What do you suggest?"

No. She wasn't thinking about that. Or...was this really over?

I slowly got out of bed and climbed down the ladder, careful not to wake my siblings up. I quietly got out of our room and closed the door.

When I got to the living room, I did have something to see. Y/n was laying on her back, breathing heavily. I kneeled down next to the couch and took her hand.

2nd person POV

Beep...beep...beep...

This time it was only beeping...and it sounded even worse.

Beep, run...beep, run...beep, run...

Until...

"Hey. It's me. I know you can't hear me now, but I just want to tell you that...whatever you're going trough right now...I know you can make it. And I'll be right here, as long as you need..."

"Huh-? WHOA!", you got distracted and fell down. The last thing you heard was f/n cheering and your mom's complains.

You shut your eyes open as your heart beated so fast you struggled to catch your breath. Then you felt someone holding your hand.

"Shh...it's over now, don't worry...", you heard Wakko whisper gently. You couldn't say anything, but you felt that warm feeling and were very thankful.

Wakko let go of your hand and sat on the couch next to you. You reached out your hand and your fingers interwined with his once again.

"Want me to help you up?", he asked. You just nodded and he helped you sit up. He hugged you tighly and just stayed like that for a few seconds. Then, with his one arm still around you, he started resting his other hand on your brow, cheecks and neck, as tough he was checking your temperature. In the end, he pressed one finger on your neck, feeling your heartbeat. Then he hugged you again.

"What was it about?", he asked. "Running...", you finaly managed to say something. "Told you. It's over now", he said and smiled, making your heart flutter.

"Why...why did you do that...?", you asked. "I think you're not feeling well", said Wakko. "No...I'm fine, I just got frightened...", you said. "It's ok...you're safe now...", said Wakko gently, "Do you want me to stay?", he asked. "Yeah...", you said.

Your POV

Don't turn right...don't turn right...don't you dare turn your head-

"Hey...can I sing something again? I think it'll calm you down...", said Wakko.

No. Say no. No more-

I couldn't. I turned my head right and slowly nodded. Then he started:

Should I try to hide
The way I feel inside
My heart for you?

Would you say that you
Would try to love me too?

In your mind
Could you ever be
Really close to me?

I can tell the way you smile
If I feel that I
Could be certain then
I would say the things I want to say tonight

But 'til I can see
That you'd really care for me
I will dream
That someday you'll be
Really close to me

I can tell the way you smile
If I feel that I
Could be certain then
I would say the things I want to say tonight

But 'til I can see
That you'd really care for me
I'll keep trying to hide
The way I feel inside

My heart was pounding. Was he serious? I mean...who taught him that, I still couldn't understand!

Please don't turn your head right now, please don't, it's-

I just couldn't. It was as tough I knew...but it was just too obvious, so I did. Wakko leaned in and gently kissed me. And only then I realised that the only solution to our problems was to tell eachother how we felt and that it was the actual reason for our behaviour around eachother.

"I love you", said Wakko. "I love you too", I said and we went back to sleep.
