After ten minutes of driving, Jesse finally reached the safe house which was actually on Wolffe's property. The still commander of the army owned a huge property due to his years of service, a few of his brothers still lived on it. The man was Jesse and Rex's older brother and had raised both of them himself ever since their parents walked out on them. Rex doesn't remember his parents but there is a ten year age gap between Rex and Wolffe. The two wouldn't have it any other way, they loved each other and Rex knew how much Wolffe had sacrificed for him. Jesse vaguely remembered his parents but he was only two years older than Rex. Wolffe managed to raise them both and juggle life at the same time. He and Wolffe were close but not as close as Rex and Wolffe. The commander was actually leaving the army this year due to a health issue that he wouldn't disclose but Wolffe had children of his own so the man wanted to be home to watch the two grow up. They had already been given nicknames by the Wolfpack who were Wolffe's squad.

He had twin boys and their nicknames were Comet and Sinker due to one of them always having his head in the clouds while his twin loved the dirt and the water. If he wasn't watched constantly, he would get into mischief almost like the time he found himself in quick sand and he sank. Which shortly gave him his nickname Sinker while Comet earned his by being fascinated by the stars and he was a runner, so Comet stuck.

Jesse smiled as the car came to a stop beside a familiar truck. Omega climbed out running for her father who hugged her and checked her over despite her shouts that she was fine. It just earned her a look from Hunter. On the other hand Hera remained attached to Kix's side, the medic urged her into the house while Jesse remained outside on the phone.

Kix entered the living area only to frown, he noticed the bad batch were sitting in silence but it was obvious Tech and Hunter were not speaking to one another. The two were glaring at each other and would have continued if it weren't for Hera and Omega. The two girls split from each other, Omega hugged Hunter while Hera found herself in Tech's arms while they waited.

Wrecker and Echo decided on making some food with the stocked cupboards, Jesse was going to have to thank his older brother for a few things. First a home and now food, he wondered what next. Jesse had just come off the phone when two cars pulled up behind him. Glancing back he saw the mini which had no scratch on it while the same could not be said for Fives police cruiser that had bullet holes in the side. The only issue with the mini was that it was smoking so Crosshair parked it in the safe house’s garage, he would be back for it later on when he had the proper tools. Tech would understand, he always did. Sending a quick text to his twin confirmed it. He received a small threat that Crosshair better fix it by the end of the week. The marksman only smirked.

Crosshair climbed out the side of the mini with grim expression, the marksman's shoulder was bandaged but it didn't seem to bother him. Something else did, Jesse smiled at Rex who just hugged his brother in thanks. Fives smirked following Cody up into the house, the commander had rode with Crosshair in case they ran into any issues. Jesse shortly followed Rex into the house as soon as he knew everyone was inside.

Crosshair felt like shooting something, oh how he wished he did but then again he would probably be in jail again. The marksman found himself walking into the silent living room of the safe house to be met with mixed expressions.

"Crosshair?!" Hera cried out as she moved from Tech's arms and over to Crosshair who hugged her tight to his chest. He bit down on his lip to avoid groaning as he used his newly shot injured shoulder. The marksman looked up to see everyone looking his way so he put his best glare on and it made everyone turn their heads away from the two.

Crosshair lifted Hera fully into his arms and walked from the room towards the bathroom where she could clean up. Hera entered while Crosshair slumped against the outside wall, he was angry at himself for not noticing two enemies sneaking up behind them. He had put Hera in danger, obviously it wasn't his fault  he just couldn't help but blame himself. A hand on his shoulder jolted him from his thoughts, looking up he saw Hunter staring back at him. The leader had a look of 'he knew', Cody must have told them what happened while he had left, probably using Crosshairs statement to explain.
