What?

I woke up and Amber was talking to someone in the doorway. It was a he.

"Please?"she pleaded

He sighed,"I suppose. Only until you get your own place. Ok?" I know him. Who is he though?

"Thank you so much,"Amber looked like she would cry,"we are very grateful."

"It's no problem." He said.

Then Amber noticed me,"hey! Your awake. So you remember Jerrod, right?" She talked to me like I had lost my memory.

"Yes. I broke my ribs. I didn't land on my head." I adjusted myself. I hurt though. Jerrod made is way to the side of my bed.

"How you feeling?" He stroked my head.

Kiss me. Kiss me, I thought. Please!

"Ok"I managed to get out.

"We are going to stay with him for a little bit. Until dad can get out."she looked unhappy about it,"He is having a new trial and he could get out. Isn't that great?"

"Seriously?" I almost jetted out of there.

Then an officer came into the room. What is he doing here?

"Could you please leave?" He pointed to Jerrod. He left with out a fight.

"Are you two Amber and Ellianne Heart?"

We nodded.

He sighed,"Well, your house fire was not an accident. Someone put gasoline on the side of your house and lit it on fire"he sighed,"if it weren't for you"he pointed at me,"you all would have died. Now I need to know, have you made any enemies? And did either of you start it?" He looked like he didn't want to ask it.

Amber looked at me. Then at the cop. "No we just moved here and everyone at school is so nice. Ell?"

"I...uh..."

"Elli we need to know everything. Anything you can tell us will help stop this from happening again." He looked at me like the world depended on me.

"Um...a-at school there was this guy..."

"Go on."

"W-well he shut my locker. Then gave me his number a-and I took it and lit it up with m-my lighter." I was scared he would get in trouble for having a lighter in school.

"Do you know his name?"he asked gently.

"No."

He sighed. "What about his face? Do you remember his face?"

"Yes. I do."
