Asami and the others were walking deeper into the lab. At the end of the entryway, they came upon a strange door. A basic, wooden door. It didn’t fit the lab at all. Asami cautiously approached, and opened it. She looked inside, and found a familiar room. It was her and Albedo’s shared quarters. She entered, confused and concerned. Everything was exactly as she had left it, save for a strange coating of dark mist. A knock resounded at the door behind her. But…she had left it open, didn’t she? Apparently not. When she turned around, it was closed. She opened it, and found the outside to be the hallway, rather than the lab’s entryway. Yuze was standing just outside. “Master Yuze…” She said, “Asami…I am afraid I have some unfortunate news.” He responded, “Huh? What do you mean?” She asked, “We’ve received word from the field. Albedo…has perished.” He answered. She took a step back. At first she didn’t believe it, but his eyes told it all. He was dead serious. Realizing this, she hung her head for a moment, before bursting into tears. She had lost everything…
“Asami?” Cyril asked. She looked back up at where Yuze was standing, and found Cyril in his place. They were in the lab. The door was made of metal, and looked completely different than the wooden door she saw. There were no tears, but she felt significantly weaker. “Are you alright?” Cyril asked, “I’m…I’m fine…” Asami answered. She looked around, only to realize it was just them! “Wh-Where’d everyone else go?” She asked, “What are you talking about?” Cyril asked. She took a second glance, and found everyone standing around her. “Are you alright, uh…cousin? I would call you ‘sis,’ but you’re definitely more of a ‘cousin,’ no offense.” Chichi-Chichi asked, “This place is messing with my head…let’s get this done swiftly.” She answered. Chichi-Chichi nodded, and they continued. They were on a platform, just above a large room. The large room had metal tables throughout, with various chemicals spread across them. It seemed someone was doing chemistry down there, though they weren’t in the room at the time. The platform led out onto a thin bridge, which crossed to another platform on the opposite side of the large room. Looking around at the lab, one thing became very apparent. There was an extreme amount of magic in the air, to an almost sickening degree. It made them feel somewhat lightheaded. The magic being employed was gravity magic, there was no mistaking that. It seemed it was holding the facility together somehow. But why gravity magic? Did it serve some purpose? It didn’t matter much, at least not at the time.
They began walking across the bridge, only for the ceiling above it to burst open! Rust dropped down onto the bridge with them, halting their progress! “This guy just won’t give up, will he?!” Aiden asked! Rust responded by slicing the bridge with his claw, severing the stability! The bridge was supported by the platforms, and the gravity magic in the lab. He had sliced just past the middle, causing the part of the bridge they were on to fall downward! They slid down it, falling on top of each other in the area below! They formed a rather comical dogpile. “Toto, get your hoof off my face!” Aiden exclaimed, “I-I’m sorry! Eragon is blocking me from moving!” Toto responded, “Who the fuck is Eragon?!” Aiden asked, “Me, asshole.” The Dwarf answered, “That’s your name?!” Aiden asked, “The fuck were you expecting?! ‘Dillan?!’ Yes it’s my name, dipshit!” Eragon answered, “Well, Eragon, can you get off Toto so she can get her hoof off my goddamn eyeball?!” Aiden asked, “Well, if Zoey could get her ass off my back then maybe!” Eragon answered! All at once, Rust dropped down, making a huge impact once more! The ground shook, freeing them from their unintended game of twister! Rust let out an unrelenting roar! “Yeah, yeah, we get it, asshole!” Aiden exclaimed! Rust barreled towards him, slashing with his claw! Aiden narrowly dodged it, and stabbed Rust in the side!
He removed the blade, spilling black blood all over the floor! “What the hell…?” Aiden asked. Rust backhanded…backclawed? He backclawed Aiden away, sending him flying to the ground! “Now would be an excellent time for Dark Knight, Nosferatu!” Asami exclaimed, “I can’t!” Nosferatu responded, “What do you mean you can’t?!” Asami asked, “I…I’ll explain later! We have to find another way to beat him, okay?!” Nosferatu answered! Asami rushed in, forming a blade with Rust’s blood! Only to her surprise, the blade came apart instantly, and the blood flicked to the ground harmlessly! “What is this guy’s blood made of?!” She asked, “Uh, blood, probably!” Aiden answered, finally recovering from the earlier attack, “Well it certainly isn’t normal!” Asami exclaimed! Rust sprinted at Aiden before he could fully recover, kicking him into the nearby wall! He then went for a slash with his claw, only for Aiden to barely avoid it! “We aren’t getting anywhere!” Aiden exclaimed. Rust turned around, looking over everyone. Suddenly, he rushed at Eragon! “Oh no…” Eragon said. In an instant, Rust had impaled him in the gut! He let out a roar, before throwing his body on a nearby table! “Eragon! Damnit…” Aiden said, “Aiden is right, we aren’t making it anywhere. We need to find a different way to deal with him!” Chichi-Chichi exclaimed, “I’ve got an idea…” Zoey responded, “Well, do it then!” Aiden exclaimed!
