On distant shores, an army of warriors stood beside a fallen castle. They stood in rows before the gates, awaiting further orders. The castle had been destroyed, and most of the people within were dead. From within the gates, a Rider emerged. An older man, bearing a mysterious glowing right eye and mage-like robes. He was pulling prisoners along behind him. The royal family of the land they had conquered. Their once pure clothes were dirtied, and their wrists were shackled. There were four of them. The Father, the Mother, the Son, and the Daughter. A once happy family from a prospering kingdom, brought to ruin by this army. The Rider dismounted, grabbing a staff on his way off the horse.

“On your knees.” He said.

The prisoners did as he asked, falling to their knees before the army. The army stood silently in a statuesque manner. A soldier approached, leading the Rider’s horse away.

“Why are you doing this…? We have no qualms with you people! We’re willing to join your damn Covenant!” The Father exclaimed!

The Rider sternly approached him. “Where is the artifact?” He asked.

The Father was stunned. “The…artifact? The one the Snake Kingdom sought…? Why would you want that cursed object?” He asked.

“The Twilight Covenant seeks the artifact. Our terms are non-negotiable. If you wish to live, then you will tell us of its current whereabouts.” The Rider answered.

“Who the hell do you think you are…? You cannot play God in this world! If you seek that object, you will bring ruin to everything!” The Father exclaimed.

“If you will not answer me, then perhaps you will answer our regal lord.” The Rider responded.

He stepped back, turning to face the army. The army split into two halves, forming a path. From behind them, a group of soldiers hoisting a palanquin approached. The palanquin was covered in a large red cloth, hiding the person inside. There were curtains in the front, which could be opened. The two halves of the army turned to face each other as the palanquin passed between them. The Rider held his hand in the air, before bringing it down dramatically! At that moment, everyone in the army took a knee!

“It is with great honor that I hereby present…” The Rider stopped himself as the palanquin got close.

The soldiers carrying it set it down, and he continued.

“...Duchess of Twilight, Head of the Binding Star…”

The curtains began to draw, slowly revealing the figure inside.

“...Heir to the throne of Dragonfire…”

At last, the curtains were pulled open…and their ruler was revealed.

“Princess Moona De La Adrobisque!”

“Princess Moona De La Adrobisque!”
