Trey automatically dropped everything that he's doing and changed into decent clothes. He threw in his hoodie to keep Erica warm when he hugs her.

Hindi pa niya nakikitang umiyak si Erica, except for that one time during their retreat. They were asked to write what do you think God wants to tell you. Hindi naman niya sinasadyang makita yung pag-iyak niya. Nagkataon lang talaga na nasa tapat niya si Erica.

After their activity, he wanted to give her a hug but he couldn't. He thought that there was no good reason for him to do so. So he held himself back and chose to walk away from her.

But this time, he's not walking away anymore. This time, he's running towards his Bub.

All Erica can do right now is hug her knees to feel comfort, which does not even work for her anymore. She knows that she'll break down to tears any minute.

When her doorbell rang, she immediately ran to the door to attend to it. As she opened the door, Trey was standing there in his hoodie and jogging pants while in his slippers.

Upon seeing the guy she's waiting for, she immediately teared up. Trey was quick to eliminate the proximity between them and pulled her in for a tight and warm embrace.

He let himself in and closed the door behind him. While Erica buried her face on his chest, he just stood there with her and stroked her back. "I'm here, Bub," he whispered.

His whispers tickled her ear, sending unexplainable sensation all throughout her body. As her tears dried up on Trey's chest, she took the opportunity to rest her head on it. She never thought Trey's chest would feel this comforting. It was as if she could forget all the anxieties she has with just a single hug from him.

When she felt her tears drained up already, she lifted her head only to realize how close she is right now with his face. She suddenly felt hot as he cupped her face. He gently wiped the remaining tears on her face.

Her eyes remained on his face. Ngayon lang niya nakita nang ganito kalapit si Trey. She noticed how they both hitched their breaths.

It's crazy how her emotions could change quickly just because of the presence of a man. Not just any man, but this man.

One second she's thinking about failing and not achieving the license she has dreamt of. Another second, when he arrived, it was as if all those anxieties vanished in the air. She felt cold, mostly because of the cold air the air-conditioner was giving off, but it could also probably be because she was alone. But when Trey arrived, his presence radiated warmth and comfort.

Now that he's cupping her face, she could feel her heartbeat pounding as the entire surrounding slowed down before her eyes. For once, Erica stopped thinking about the future and savored the moment as she leaned towards him to claim his lips.
