Sometimes the people who show us the most beautiful things are the same ones who leave us with the deepest scars. As they painted our world with vibrant colors but leave us drowning in shades of emptiness.

|•SECOND PERSON's POV•|

"Hey, answer my call, y/n," a voice message from your best friend Kakucho came through after several attempts to get in touch. However, you just stood there, watching the call get cut off on its own.

In the muted serenity of an unfamiliar room, you found yourself lost in thought. The room was simple and unadorned, unmistakably belonging to a man. The air carried a lingering scent of mint and sandalwood, a refreshing aroma that subtly hinted at the room's owner. Having just taken a quick shower, you were now wearing an oversized black-striped nightdress.

You stood by the sliding window, gently drying your black cat's fur, your gaze fixed on the world outside, yet seeing nothing. The rhythmic patter of rain against the windowpane filled the room, the soft sound of raindrops providing a soothing backdrop to your thoughts.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, breaking your reverie. A young man entered the room, his hands occupied with a tray holding hot tea, a bowl of Peyoung noodles, and a first aid kit. The steam from the tea and noodles danced in the cool air, adding a comforting warmth to the room.

"Pardon the mess in my room," the young man apologized as he gestured towards his scattered shounen mangas, socks, and changed clothes on the floor.

"No, it's fine," you responded flatly, taking a step back towards the small table and sitting down on your knees and heels on the floor.

"Sorry, I overheard. It seems someone has been trying to reach out to you. You should at least answer him; he must be worried," he suggested.

"It's just a very close friend of mine, and I'm certain he will ask to borrow money from me again," you lied, not wanting to reveal the real reason why Kakucho had been trying to get in touch with you.

"I see. Well, have this hot tea and Peyoung instead," he offered, placing the cup of tea in front of you. "And let me patch up your bruise afterward."

"I don't need to be told what to do, but thank you. I appreciate it," you said unenthusiastically as you grabbed the cup of hot tea.

The young man didn't engage in further conversation, noticing that you seemed drained of energy, both emotionally and physically, after being soaked in the rain earlier. Understanding your state of mind, he left you alone and proceeded to clean up his room.

Soon as the young man bent down to pick up his scattered magazines, your cat instinctively jumped off your lap and onto his. "It seems my cat is already fond of him," you remarked silently, watching as your cat rubbed its head against the young man's cheeks, purring as if it had longed for him for years.

"Come to think of it," you said, looking out the window again, "I found Rocher near this condominium." You murmured to yourself, recalling the day you stumbled upon your beloved cat.

Turning your gaze back to the young man, you noticed him grinning as he played with your cat. You couldn't help but admire his two sharp canine teeth, which gave him a slightly savage demeanor.
