Didan City wasn't that far from the nice city that we were in. Before we left the city, we looted the entire city, making sure that we were fully ready for obstacles that might come our way. You would not believe how much small groups travel these ways. 3 out of 5 groups are usually hostile.

As we were exiting the city, I suddenly got a good idea.

"Hey Anna?" I talked to her, getting her attention.

"Yeah, what's up, Lennon?" She looked at me with a gleam in her eye.

"We should make this our city, you know, a place to retreat to," I suggested. "We should populate and train people so we can fully be ready to face those dungeon assholes."

Anna hesitated before agreeing with me, "Yeah, sure. We need to have a solid ground though, make sure no hostile groups get in and raid us. Maybe we should also get some people to harvest resources so we can start building some defense structures."

"Alright. Good. We need to get our first batch of people. Hope you got water. We're about to head into a wasteland so that heat is gonna drain us," I remind her and we head out.

Although Didan City wasn't that far, walking there in the heat makes it feel far. Maybe with a car, we would be there in a instant. But, there was a reason I didn't take a car.

"Hey, you okay?" Anna stared at me, noticing I was zoning out.

I nodded and we continued. The pain from my neck was still bugging me.

Suddenly, the scenery changed. I started noticing more metal than there usually is in a wasteland. Something is off about this..?

"Wait..." I grabbed Anna by her arm and we halted. "I have a bad feeling."

She looked at me weirdly, "But we're just coming up to it."

"Notice of how much metal is around here? That's unusual, especially in the 10 years I've been around. The only time there was this much metal was-"

Raiders popped up from behind the metal, and of course, they were dungeon raiders.

"HANDS UP!!!" the men yelled at us.

I chuckled and I kneeled down to the ground with my hands up, "Shit."

"What do we do now?!" Anna whispered to me.

"Ugh..." I thought of a plan. "Alright. You're just gonna have to go with me on this."

"On what-"

I kissed Anna and the raiders put their weapons down. As I kissed her, I looked at the poor idiots, feeling sympathy. I pulled away from her face.

"Guys..." One of the raiders talked to the other raiders. "I think we should leave these two alone. We never kill lovers."

"Ugh, fine," the other raiders agreed.

They ran off into one direction, which I could only assume was the direction where Dungeons Lair was. I grab a piece of paper and mark it. I've been making a map for years, of certain areas. I need to get the lay of land out.

"Sorry I did that. I used to know a friend who was a double agent. He was in my group and the Dungeons Lair and one of the rules for the Dungeons Lair is that the raiders cannot kill lovers unless they were extremely dangerous," I explained to her.

Anna continued on, eager to get to the city, "Nice plan. Come on!"

Why were there Dungeon Raiders near Didan City? I think we're here for a good reason.

Chills rain down my back and I get really paranoid. I look behind me and to the forest that's not far from here. I swear there are some figures in the dark over there.
