Dima, Day 1, 12:30 PM

I could have died. I should have died. I gripped my blade too hard and it got knocked out of my hand. I was tense, too tense to be fighting now. That one mistake could have killed me.

Why the hell were they here? Why now? Who were they? It doesn't make any sense! I need to get home, I need to make sure everything is ok. It'll be ok. It'll all be ok.

A voice yelled out
"DIMA!"

The sound rang out around me, fully drowning out my senses. It scared me.

Keep it together Dima, keep it together

I snapped back into focus, Tammy was right in front of me, shaking me out of my apparent illusion.

"Dima, are you ready to go? Henwick said that he's gonna get us out here."

I looked over to where Henwick was last, he had killed the last assassin. Now standing over the fallen Leftenant, Henwick placed a hand on his chest,

"You served this country with stalwart strength. Rest now, knowing you bloodied your blade with the blood of the enemy."

Henwick pulled his fingers over the now dead Leftenant's eyes. Letting out a somber sigh,

"We are going to continue with the plan I had in mind today."

He reached into his cloak and pulled out a small coin shaped stone. It had a faint yellow glow imbued within it, almost radianting at his touch.

"I need you all to follow me, and if we encounter any more trouble. I need you to do exactly what you did here in this room."

I grabbed my helmet off the ground and began to move with everyone out of the room. Three out of the four royal knights that protected us died, so the last one moved downstairs to see what was happening in the courtyard.

We could hear various alarms throughout the building now, with sounds of either screams or shouting accompanying them. Smoke lapped side rooms as we passed them, fearing what I would see if I peeked in them, I refrained from doing so.

Henwick led us down the very last hallway, to some sort of door...? It was made of a thick metal that looked like it could retract and open up on both sides at will. There was a rectangular shaped pad that had ten labeled circles on it, starting from one and continuing all the way to nine.

Henwick waved the stone over the "7" circle. There was a brief yellow flash of light, but the doors did not open.

"Sorry everyone, it'll take a couple moments."

Henwick turned around to all of us rather awkwardly. Upon catching sight of my shoulder, he spoke to Felix,

"Doctor Felix, make sure that Dima gets some blood once we're out of here. His blood type is O-, got it?"

I'm not even gonna ask how he knows that

Felix reached into his pack, fiddling around in some of the pockets,

"Got it, I have a decent bit of O- to give him."

The metal doors slid open to reveal a small glass room, with plates of metal covering the roof and floor.

Henwick moved into the room and gestured a hand to come inside. Once we were all safely inside the doors snapped shut behind us and we all began to move upwards. I felt a weird feeling of weightlessness, like I wasn't even wearing my armor, or my clothes.

I looked out the window and saw a wave of blue rushing around the courtyard of the Town Hall building. Looking more closely, I could see squadrons of Royal Knights preparing for something drastic, like it was the end of the world.
