Chrissa tossed and turned in the dark sheets. Vampires technically never had to sleep, but since she was a seventh, she found that the stone inside of her would often exhaust her body, so she needed to rest. Unlike most vampires, of course.
She then sat up, and placed her back against the headboard of the bed she shared with her husband. She wore a blue and laced gown, crafted with expensive satin from faraway lands.
Chrissa touched the golden necklace against her throat that was gifted to her by her lover, and gazed out the window longingly.
She dreamt of him again.
Five nights in a row.
She wondered when it would stop, when she would find peace again. She'd been a completely different person compared to the girl she was a few months ago, before it all happened.
"You alright?" asked the silver haired man beside her. His hair was ruffled, and the rims around his eyes were red. He would need to feed soon, but it definitely made him more attractive when he looked like this, Chrissa thought. She snuggled up beside him, as he reached his arm over her and held her protectively. She liked the feel of his lean muscles around her, it helped with the nightmares.
"I had another one, Kandor." She said in a low tone, as she studied the tattoos against his chest. She then looked up at him, "except we all died. We all died and then we lost all the rings and then Stephen—"
"Isn't here anymore. You killed him. Michael's gone now, and Mars is fine. You're fine," he said to her realistically but lovingly, "and we're fine. Nothing is going to happen to you. I won't let it." Kandor's voice was hard, and serious. She nodded as he kissed her forehead, "mhm, I know. But what if?"
He chuckled, "then i'll kill him this time." She rolled her eyes, "I'm being serious." Chrissa said, "and I'm talking about Michael. We just...we left him to die. It haunts me. Does it haunt you?"
Kandor held down a laugh, "your feelings are my feelings, right?"
She moved away from him slightly, "I know you didn't particularly like him, but I..." she hesitated, and then shook her head slightly. "I don't know."
He brought his hand into her own, and laced their fingers. "You loved him." Kandor said, as he kissed their interlocked hands.
Her wedding ring had sparkled in the dimly lit bedroom. They'd been tucked away in their king-sized canopy bed, with thick silk sheets. There were drapes of velvet fabric that hung from the poles of the bed, which added to the intimacy and eroticims of the bedroom.
There was a flash of lust that danced in the glimmer of his pale eyes.
"But you must let it go," he said seductively, as he kissed her lips. Chrissa moaned in response, before she pulled away. She was still slightly weak, due to the stone inside her, but something else was still bothering her. Kandor hid the annoyance in his expression and sat up slightly. "Chrissa, It's the only way you'll get beyond this. And the nightmares."
"I don't know," she said again, and then looked back up at him. "I suppose you're right," Chrissa expressed, when she rested her head on his shoulder. "My husband," she giggled, and looked up at him. "I always am," he smirked, and then sat up slightly.
"But seriously, I suppose there's a certain peace in embracing the future." He looked at her seriously, "and you're my future. You're going to be there, forever."She smiled to herself.
"I'll make sure of it," he mumbled to himself darkly, with his eyes distant. Chrissa chuckled slightly, "I guess so..." He kissed the tip of her nose, "I know so, princess. Now enough with the pessimism."
"You and your colorful vocabulary..." she said thoughtfully, and rolled her eyes. Chrissa then kissed his cheek. "Anywonder, I'm going to fetch a glass of blood," Chrissa widened her eyes with a slight singsongness in her voice, "Wouldn't want another frenzy..."
Kandor smirked, "it's rather sexy, when you're going insane, my love..." he said to her slowly, with a glimmer of lust in his voice. "But alas, do as you please."
She rolled her eyes with a scoff, and threw a pillow at him with her hands resting at her hips. He narrowed his eyes at her, as he moved it from where it landed on his head. "Must you always be a challenge?"
She chuckled, before getting up. "You love it," she smiled lightly, "I'll be back."
His gaze softened slightly. "Don't stay away too long."The dark haired girl looked at the man who'd been laying beside her, and she smiled, before she got up, grabbed the cloak that hung delicately beside the hook of her bed, and decided to walk the halls. It'd been quiet that night at the manor. Her and her husband had one all to themselves, so she rarely ran into others. He made sure she'd been highly protected at all times, and she loved him for that. She wondered sometimes about her family. Chrissa could never bring herself to visit them, after everything that happened. She liked to imagine that they were somewhere in the north, happy. Without her. She had a new life now.
A life where her family could get hurt if they were to get involved.
Being the Vampire Queen wasn't easy, but she found comfort in her new life. Comfort in knowing she was safe, and in good hands. Comfort, knowing that she had a child on the way. Someone to carry her legacy at least, when it came time. Kandor had been the happiest she'd ever seen him when he received the news.
"Mail at his hour...?" Chrissa muttered to herself, as she saw black envelope hidden in a bouquet of flowers on a table. "Mr. Vloodcrest, must you always be this dramatic?" She smiled to herself, as she began to open it.
I'm coming for you, Chriss. - Michael
