Chapter 21

I woke up to Sam next to me.
"Sam,"
"El are you okay? Do you need anything are you in pain? Because-"
I laughed and cut him off.
"No I'm fine. Thanks. We're supposed to meet the Jacks today at 1." He nodded.

I'm currently 6 months pregnant and nothing huge has happened since I found out, it's just been easy and simple. I got up to get dressed, I grabbed a water from downstairs, and I sat on the balcony looking over the view. I thought about how far everyone has come.

I never thought Sam and I would come this far, I never thought I would move to New York or even LA. I defiantly never knew I would be popular online. This has just been a crazy experience.
Sam came out and told me it was 1, so I grabbed my bag and we headed out.

I saw the Jacks and I hugged them both. We sat down to eat and caught up since they've been busy with touring. "G, I've seen stuff on Twitter about you and this chick Madi or Madison or something?" He looked away and nodded. "I haven't told my fans about it but we kind of have something going on." I almost spit out my drink.

"What about Emily?? You guys were together for like 5 years, what happened?" He shook his head. "I met Madison and we just kind of clicked, and I broke up with Emily." I threw my hands up. "So you just broke up with Emily because you met another 15 year old? You and Emily had something, and you just threw it all away for something that is obviously not going to last."

"El, she said she understood." I let out a frustrated sigh and glared at him. "She obviously doesn't understand, she's hurt. She wasn't the same when I talked to her the other day. I can't believe you." Sam took my hand and tried calming me down. But Emily was my best friend and for Jack to do that to her, that makes me mad. I know stuff about Madison that I doubt Jack knows. And she's 15.

I snatched my hand back and stood up, grabbing my bag. "Well, you and Madison have fun. Some advice, don't let her take control of you because then things will go wrong. Madison is trouble. I'm leaving." I started walking away and I heard Sam and J calling after me. But I didn't go back, I was mad. I was probably over reacting but who cares. I got a ride home from an Uber and I called Emily.

"Emily, how come you didn't tell me?"
I heard sniffling. "I didn't want you to get mad, I didn't want you to worry."
I heard her crying.
"Em, you can tell me how you feel. I got mad at Jack today and I left."
"I just didn't know what was going on, for two months Jack was acting all suspicious and I confronted him about it. He told me that he met someone else, Madison Beer and he really liked her. Then he broke things off and sure enough, the next day there are indirect tweets to her. Everyone was thinking they were to me."
I heard her crying.
"5 years, down the drain for a 15 year old. We first got together when she was 10 years old! Anyways, I just left to go back to Omaha so I would get away from him. He doesn't even care how I fell because he hasn't called me since then." I felt so bad for her.

"I'm going to kick his sorry ass. Then Madison's after." She laughed. "Please do. I need to go out shopping so I'm going to call you back. Maybe get my mind off of him." I said bye and hung up. I sat on the couch and looked up at the ceiling.
"That's why relationships suck. They're all dumb. And I know there will be plenty of heartbreaks in your life, just know it gets better." I felt my stomach and the baby was kicking.
I was smiling, only 3 more months.

Sam came through the door and I stood up. He hugged me and we stayed like that for a while. "Jack is turning into a different person. He wasn't even phased by what you said. He even called Madison and," I cut him off and kissed him. "The only thing we can do is attempt to help him. And help Emily. But three months, and we'll be having problems of our own. We're starting a family, and I can't wait another minute." Sam held me tighter and kissed my forehead.

"This has been a crazy journey El."

"It has indeed, Sam."
