Hello! Sorry this chapter took forever. School started for me and my tablet broke so I had to do my homework/schoolwork, buy myself a new tablet, and set it up. Anyways hope you enjoy this chapter!

Wilbur POV

We rode until the sun set and we needed to make camp. “Hey we need to stop for the night soon, tell me if you see a clearing,”I yelled out to make sure Fundy heard me. I heard a faint “There’s one over there. Just follow me,” as he started to turn to the left. I just followed, not wanting to lose him. We pulled up in a clearing that was a bit bumpy but not bad. As we both got off our horses I told Fundy “You can go tie the horses on a tree over there,” I gesture towards the far side of the clearing. “Won’t mobs attack them,” Fundy said nervously. “No, mobs only attack people and hybrids so the horses are safe as long as we aren’t riding them,” he nodded and led the horses away as I built a small 5x5 house (It only had to fit two beds so it didn’t have to be big). It was more like a shack but it would do for the night. I walked over to Fundy and checked the horses before grabbing a pumpkin pie from the saddle bags and sharing it with Fundy. The sun was setting by the time we had finished our small dinner so I sent him to the small wood shack I had set up. I hoped this would help him feel safer than if I had him walk around in the dark. So instead I walked around the perimeter setting up torches so mobs won't spawn near us and hopefully avoid the area. I hadn’t seen any mobs besides a zombie limping around though. It was a bit weird but I just shrugged it off. I turned and went back inside the shack worried about whether Fundy would be able to sleep with his sensitive hearing. “Hey bud? Are you doing alright?” He just nodded trying to keep his fur from puffing up every time he heard a noise. We had been camping before but this was his first time outside the barrier so it was normal for him to be anxious. I opened my arms and he immediately ran to me and curled up on me. He must be even more frightened than I thought. Giving me a hug or snuggling was normal but he only curled up when he felt scared or threatened. I started slowly petting his ears to get him to calm down. He slowly relaxed into my hand and started lightly purring. It was so cute! He managed to get to sleep after only 20 minutes. He must have been super tired or there weren’t any odd mob noises that he could hear outside. Either way I thanked prime he hadn’t had trouble getting to sleep. I soon laid down and fell asleep cuddling my cute fox furry son.

8 hours later

I woke up to see that in his sleep Fundy had rolled off my bed and was curled up on the floor in a blanket. I slowly got up, careful not to wake him as I went outside. The sun was still rising so I climbed a nearby tree to better see it. It was honestly one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. Watching the sunrise/sunset was one of the things I had missed most while living in the barrier. After the sun rose I jumped down from the tree I was sitting in and went to feed the horses. After I was sure that they were fully fed I walked back inside the house and crafted a few things we needed on our journey (mostly more food). I heard a groan so I turned around. "Hi Dad" Fundy yawned, rubbing his eyes. "Hello my little champion" I responded with a laugh before going to ruffle his hair a little. He tried to swat my hand away which just made me laugh more. "Here you go," I said as I handed him an apple for breakfast. He took it and mumbled a thank you before eating. Once he was done eating we got up and went to the horses to start our journey. "How much farther to Uncle Techno's house?" Fundy asked as he climbed onto Pebble. "Not too much farther. We should be able to reach Techno's house by midday." I said after a pause to calculate the distance. We had made much better progress than I thought we had the previous night so we were closer than expected to our destination. "How far is L'Manburg from Techno's house?" I again paused before saying "I believe that it's about half a day's Journey past techno's house… It has been a long time since I've visited so I'm not completely sure though" Fundy noded. We rode in silence for a while until we entered a plains biome. "Hey Fund's do you want to race to that hill?" I asked. Fundy's face lit up and his tail started wagging. "Can we?" He asked, sounding like a kid who was told they could get some candy. I laughed at how excited he had gotten over something that in my childhood was a daily occurence. "What are you waiting for? Let go!" I told him before urging Nyx into a run.

That's where I'm going to end this chapter. I hope you liked it! If you enjoy this book and want more updates please let me know. I have little motivation right now and knowing people enjoy this and want more might help. Also I swapped Sally's and Wilbur's horses so now Will's is Nyx while Sally's (now Fundy's) is pebble. Bye my Stars and remember that you all shine super bright and beautiful no matter what!
