So it's been a year since I graduated and exactly 6 months sine Mary-Kate and I started college. We go to different universities but we take off two weeks of every month to go on a trip together. I still live in the same city, just in a dorm on campus and she is in a different state but that never stopped us from seeing each other and our families. Sometimes when I visit my mom and brother I stop by Brandon's office to mostly chat but sometimes it's more. My dad was laid off from his job due to his constant drinking so he couldn't pay his bills and my brother was left in the custody of my mom, but my father still has the parental right to visit Miguel once a week. My father has a good lawyer who is fighting for my dad to have full and permanent custody of my brother, but thanks to Brandon and his team they have mom in full custody again.I was heading to my room late at night because I had to stay after class to catch up on all the work I missed on my trip to the beach last week with Mary-kate, when I realized the door was slightly open. I began to worry because I remembered that my roommate was gone for four months to spend time with her family in China. We are the only ones with the key so it must have been a burglar. I took out the pepper spray from my keychain and slowly walked inside. "Hello? Who's in there?" I said with my breath shaking and my body trembling. "I've called the police! They're on their way right now..s..so don't try anything" I said, knowing that it wasn't true. In one quick movement the door slams shut and a tall figure emerges from a dark corner of the room. Keeping my eyes shut, I quickly start spraying all over the figure hoping that I got them. "Ow!" I heard a familiar voice say. Then I opened my eyes, turned the light on and looked at the person who matched the voice. "Brandon?!"
"Oh my god I'm so sorry, are you okay? What are you even doing here?" I said as I sat him down on my bed and began to make sure he's not permanently blind. "Besides getting pepper sprayed I seem to be alright" he tries to laugh his pain away and slowly starts to try to open his eyes. "Here, let me get you a wet towel, again I'm so sorry. I thought you were like a burglar or something" I trailed off into the bathroom to receive the items. "Or something?" He said. I didn't respond as I put the towel on his big blue eyes and gently patted them to soak up any of the remaining substance. "I came to surprise you by the way, but it looks like I was the one who was surprised". "Supreme me for what? We go on break in a couple of weeks, I would have come to see you" I stared at him while he was still wiping the pain in his eyes away. "I couldn't wait, I wanted to see you now so we can spend the whole four months together. I had canceled all my plans and I even booked us a trip". "Aw you did?...wait...a trip? To where?" I said.
I didn't plan on going anywhere but to stay at my mom's house and spend time with all of them together. "It's a surprise" he winked at me, I tried my hardest not to blush so I decided to change the subject. "What about my mom and Miguel? I wanted to spend my time with them too. Did you even think about just calling me and asking if I wanted to go? What if I Don't want to go? What if something happens to them and my dad-". He stopped my excessive blabbering with a kiss. Long and sensual. He moved in closer and placed his hand on my cheek, then he slowly broke our lips apart. "That was rude," I said. He laughed, "It was the only way to get you to stop asking questions". "And you could've just told me to shut up" I pouted like a toddler and playfully crossed my arms at him. "And that's not rude?" He said, raising his eyebrow. Brandon and I haven't spent much time together but we became really close friends and romantically. He hasn't said anything much about us, only that he likes me a lot, but that doesnt help me wonder if he wants anything more with me. We don't do anything but kiss when we are alone. No hand holding, hugging, or anything.
"I'm going to help you pack your things and then we will head over to your mom's house" he said. Grabbing my suitcase and folding them into it. "You still didn't answer my question," I said. "Which one?". I rolled my eyes and began packing the rest of my stuff. "The one about Miguel and my mom". "Well I was hoping that they would want to come with us. I will be bringing a guest myself" he said as we walked to his car.
