Honestly I could care less if I graduate, because I don't even know what I want to do after highschool. I'm definitely not going to college just like my parents want, but I don't want to wind up living in Cori's future basement in her future home with her future family for the rest of my life. It's all making me so frustrated and angry I just want to punch someone in the goddamn face!! "Mary-Kate! Hurry up, you're going to be late" my mom said from downstairs. "I'll be down in a minute I'm just getting dressed" I quickly texted Cori about meeting her at the park before our graduation ceremony. I finished brushing my hair back into a low ponytail and because I had long orange hair that went down to my butt, I didn't know what else to do with it. I looked at myself in my tall mirror admiring my curves, I was the complete opposite of Cori, I was 5"9 while she was only 5"3, I weighed 127 lbs and she only weighed 115 I have blue eyes and she had green eyes, she had short curly hair and i had long straight hair, I saw the cup half empty while she on the other hand saw the cup half full, But no matter how different we were we will always be best friends."Damn I'm hot". I winked at my at me. "Mary-Kate, you look beautiful, look how much you've grown up. I can't believe you are graduating high school already. It only feels like it was yesterday when you were only two years old and eating crayons, now you're moving on into adulthood like your sister" my mom said with tears running down her and my dad's eyes. "yeah thanks for that mom" I responded. My sister started taking my pictures and helped me put on my cap and gown before drinking me to the park for the ceremony. "You know when I was graduating I had decorated my cap and gown with toy story stickers. People thought it was hilarious" my sister said to me as she drove. We laughed and went out for a quick place to eat. I texted Cori to join us and she said that she and Brandon would be there soon. I didn't realize how much time she was spending with that guy. I had warned her not to get hurt but she kept saying that they were only friends. Honestly seeing them together lately they haven't kept their eyes off of each other. It's obvious they have feelings for each other.
They finally arrived and we ate burgers and fries. Cori and I took multiple pictures together to post on our social medias while Brandon and my sister Katrina were talking about their big business and how they built them up from the bottom. It got close for the ceremony to start and Brandon had to leave for a meeting so Katrina drove Cori and I. Both of our families sat next to each other in the audience as our moms cried together and my dad and siblings were taking pictures and videos. After Cori and other kids of our class got their diplomas and gave their speeches I was next. I walked up on stage the moment they called my name and the second I looked out in the crowd everyone was staring at me. I didn't think so many people would be here. The principal gave his speech about my fellow classmates including Cori. He talked about everyone and how they were special in their own way, but we it became my time he mentioned that I was "intriguing and determined" then handed me the microphone. I had no idea what to do or say so I said the only thing I could think of "umm...thanks?" I said. God I regretted it.
