Alive and Well

Chapter 1

Rondni :

"What happened to being a seceret?? Your own pack is hunting you down."

"Yes I know, looking for a new place to hide every night is exhausting!"

"You wouldn't be in this situation if you stayed away from your pack all together."

"There is a connection from my pack and Laziren."

"You believe someone is working with him from your pack or the sun pack?"

"I haven't figured that part out just yet. Who ever it is they are exceptional at covering thier tracks."

Valen :

I woke up in Rhys room sitting up to stretch the uncomfortable sleeping position off my body. I look over and see that Rhys was missing from his crib. I rushed out of the room down the stairs to see Rhys and Damien eating and playing at the kitchen table.

"Open wide Rhys...... here comes the airplane..... bbbrrrvvv... ahhh good boy. Eating all your breakfast like a strong pup you are." Said Damien to Rhys. I couldn't have asked for a better brother-in-law.

Rhys looks over and sees me standing there watching him and his uncle.

"Mo...mmm..momma!!"

With look of joy and suprisement I rush over to pick up Rhys and praise him for saying momma.

"Yes momma! I am momma! Awww... my sweet boy..... I wish your father was still here to see moments like these." I hug Rhys tightly and stroke the hair on his head. Damien walks over and kisses Rhy on the forehead places his on my back. He then places a small kiss on my cheek. Giving me the sense of Rondni's presence.

I wish things went differently. I wish my husband, my love, the father of my child, Rondni was still here. I wish I didn't hold a gruge of him leaving me and his son. I wish I could have done nore that day. I wish that I didn't have to wish or want for these because I would already have it, but I do.

A few knocks came from the door and then a loud shout followed in behind it.

"Alpha we have some urgent news sir!!"

Damien hastily makes it to the door. He looks back and then steps outside. Our house is soundproof so anything said in or out can't be heard even with wolf hearing. He was making me anxious. He came back inside not a minute later with a frustrated look on his face. No matter the news he was going to tell me what is going on.

"Damien... what's going on?" I said stepping up to him with Rhys in my arms.

"It is nothing you need to worry about. Everything is ok." He said with no emotion on his face. Any bit of frustration that was there was wiped off when he spoke to me.

"No matter how small or how great it is I want.... no I need to know. I have a child to protect. I am legally your wife which makes me luna for now. You cannot leave me out of whatever is going on!"

He looks at me and then sighs.
"There is an unknown being in our boarders. It has the ability of a werewolf, but no heartbeat like the undead. I have had a team try and track it down, but they have come to a dead end. Any tracks or leads they had on it is gone. I am concerned that it is hiding amongst us. I am also concerned that it maybe tracking you down."

"Tracking me down?!?!"

"Yes. It has been tracked to places you visit quite often, but that can be a slight coincidence because you have been in the woodline a lot lately and that's where it seems to have been before as well. I am not 100% sure that is the case, but to be safe if you and Rhys leave this house you need 4 guards with you at all times until we can get this under control."
