chapter 2

I spoke to Damien and told him I will go on this date. I dressed up in a black dress with a slight v-line. The dress came past my a knees and drapped a little in the back giving it a low high. I put my hair in a u shaped bun then held it together with a diamond clip. I pulled two strands of hair from the each side of my middle part and let them drap on my face.

Applying only a little bit of makeup, enough to make me look alive and natural at the same time. I put my simple diamond and pearl earrings with a single pearl necklace. Checking myself in the mirror one last time and then walked out of my room to the livingroom. I was nervous I am not going to lie. I haven't even thought or looked at another man for 7 years.

"Wow..... mom you look amazing!" Said Rhys as his eyes sparkled with amazement.

I walk over to him and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Thank you Rhys!"

The feeling of regret was staring to pool in my stomach. I felt like I was betraying Rondni. I kept repeating to myself in my head that Rhys needed a father and it may not be right now, but sooner or later. If I am being honest I need someone other than Damien to rely on as a male figure in my life, and my dad.

"Okay Rhys come on so I can drop you off at grandma and grandpa's." I said while patting his shoulder.

We get in my car to head to my parents. The ride was nerve racking for me, but Rhys was talking up a storm.

"Mom when will I meet this guy? Will you tell me his name? Is he your age? Or older? Mom....."

"We are here at grandma and grandpa's!!" I shouted before he could ask me anymore questions.

I parked my car, but before I could even get myself out Rhys was already knocking on my parents door. Once I got out my car my parents opened the door and embraced Rhys. I wave from my car to get my parents attention.

"I will come get him tomorrow evening. Thanks mom and dad! Love you!" I said

"No problem sweet pea, anything for you!" Said my dad

I watched as my mom, dad and Rhys all walked inside. I step back into my car and look out in the woodline behind my parents house. I then rest my head on my stirring wheel.

Stop overwhelming yourself. This is just a tryout, nothing serious. Valen we will be okay.

I know.... i know... it's just.....hard

Yes I know, but we will be okay. Pain makes people stronger even if it feels unbearable at times.

My wolf is very wise. She is my other back bone. I love her so much. She always knows what to say when I need it or even if I don't want it she does it anyway out of the life and bond me and her have. When you lose a mate for werewolves we mourn for two at the same time. We mourn for the person and the wolf. They may share the same body and a few other things, but thier personalities and intrest are different. You know two people at the same time.

I look up from the stirring wheel and back into the woodline behind my parents house. I need a run after this blind date. I put my car in reverse and right before I look back I see a wolf like figure in the woodline. I blink and it was suddenly gone. I felt no trace of a werewolf. My wolf wasn't even on alert. I looked back again, but there was nothing there. Just from that split second the figure looked so familiar.

I could just be imaging things, or it could have been mom or dad just playing in the woodline. Whatever it is I'm pretty sure I am overthinking it. I back out of my parents drive way and head to the Rosewood restaurant.

If you are wondering what is going on I am currently sitting in my car infront of the restaurant. I literally have no idea what I'm about to walk in and see and currently the thought of anything unexpected is scaring the hell out of me.

Deep breaths.... Deeeepppp....Breaths....

Ok just need to get out of the car. Like right now!! Come on Valen!!Move your fucking legs and arms!! Uuugggghhhhh..... why won't I move.

Bbzzztt...

My phone vibrates as message pops up. I see it is from Damien.

Damien: The guys is wondering if you are there or not. Are you?

Me: Yes I'm here. I am walking in.

Damien: Okay good. Just tell the host or hostess you're meeting with Mr.Valedor. Have fun!

Valen: Okay! And that's not reassuring.

I finally get out of the car and walk to the host desk. She ask for my name and reservation. I told her that I was meeting with Mr. Valedor. We walk past a restaurant full of people on dates or business meetings. It was a little unrealistic. I felt like I was walking through a romance movie.

We made it to the top of the restaurant. There was no one around. It was a medium sized room with window seats and a candle lite dinner. A tall brod shoulder man was looking down at the city with a glass of wine in hand.

I was so nervous breathe was caught up in my throat. I couldn't say a word even though I wasn't looking at his face just his stature in the dim lighting.

"Miss Valen here is your reservation with Mr. Valedor. You two have a wonderful evening your first course will arrive shortly." Said the hostess

"Thank you. Please Valen take a seat." He said gesturing for me to take a seat.0

I walk over to the opposite side from where he was standing and sat down. I look up and stare at this unknown man in front of me, but then I advert my attention to the bussling city. It amazes me how most human have no idea of the world outside of theirs.

"Beautiful..... isn't it?" He said

"It has it's beauties, but I much rather enjoy the beauties of mother nature herself." I said

"I can agree with that. Mother Nature has a more beautiful taste than the brains of mankind sometimes." He said

"Mr. Valedor how did you come to know my brother Damien?"

"We meet during a meeting between our two packs. The Sun and Moon. I am part of the chain of command for the Sun pack."

"You are? I never knew of you nor have meet you in pack meetings before."

"I only serve a purpose for when my alpha needs me. When it comes to regular pack meetings I stay tucked away."

"Mr.Valedor..."

"Please call me Liazern..."
