Chapter 13

3rd POV. Friday, after the Midterm Exams. Class 1-3.

As of now, their homeroom teacher, Kouki, gave the announcement of the school's summer event.

Kouki: As you all know, we'll be having a summer camp with middle school students.

Shiro: Not interested. Since we don't really have classes for today...

Since summer vacation is just around next week, today is only just half-day. When classes were over......

Shiro immediately pack his things up, and went outside of his classroom. Until Miko called him.

Miko: You going somewhere, Shiro?

Shiro: Yeah. I need to hurry, it's something important.

Miko: Important? Oh? Don't tell me you have a—

Shiro: No. That's not what you think it is. It's important for me, and me alone.

Shiro: Don't worry. I'll go home immediately.

Shiro: I actually need to get something back at home.

And with that, Shiro quickly went home, grabbed the four boxes of mochi ice cream. When he first opened the fridge, he saw the mochi ice cream and the note written by Miko.

"I'm just kidding when I said that, as an apology, I'll give you these mochis. You deserve it for your hard work."

Shiro: *sigh*

Shiro: I swear, I'll definitely going to eat her fried tofus when I have the chance.

Shiro took the three boxes and left one. He thought that three boxes is more than enough.

When he got what he needed for, Shiro securely locked the house and went to his destination.

So, what was the reason why he asked for three boxes of mochi ice cream?

His reason goes far back. Shiro already tasted mochi ice cream when he Saiguu brought it to him as a gift. But other than that.....

His main reason is a kindergarten known as Himawari Kindergarten. It is a kindergarten that was actually benefacted by the Minamoto Family.

Actually that is only just one of the institutions that was being helped by the Minamoto Family. Other than the kindergarten, Shiro's family also helped hospitals, shrines, schools, orphanages, retirement homes, and many other charitable institutions.

Shiro grew up seeing the work that his parents have done. But ever since the incident that occurred nine years ago, the news reached those institutions and at knowing that Shiro was the only one left in the family, and even so young during that time, they decided to quietly send their sympathies to the young boy, and even decided to grant him scholarship until college.

It is their way of showing gratitude for his parents. Shiro didn't knew this, except for his adoptive parents.

However, even though Shiro forgot most of it, there was one place that became so memorable to him.
