Chapter 11

3rd POV. Class 1-3.

The Midterms is fast approaching. Every student in the class is anxious. Except for one guy, that is Minamoto Shiro.

He always kept his composure. He kmew the midterms is just around the corner, so the usually lazy and lifeless eyes of Shiro, are now burning with great focus.

To the point that some of his classmates saw him on fire.

His two seatmates, Ganyu and Xiao can even feel the pressure that Shiro is omitting.

Ganyu: S-Such determination.

Xiao: I never saw him like this before. What happened!? Is it because the midterms is just literally a few days ahead?

As for the others.

Tighnari: Wow.....such focus.

Makoto: His eyes are much full of life before.

Itto: Is that even Shiro? Damn, I never saw him that motivated.

Childe: Did something happened? Or is he really that passionate for the exams.

Kaeya: No way, he never even showed of how much of a genius he is. We don't even know if he's a genius or not.

Kaeya: Or maybe he's really that determined to pass.

Beidou: At least he's alive.......for a reason.

Yoimiya: If that's for an exam, then I guess that will count for him as being alive.

Ei observed Shiro from her seat and she saw that Shiro is currently creating reviewers for all of the subjects, in a speed that is considered as inhuman.

But what was the reason why Shiro is so fired up for the midterms?

The fact that he's supposed to be the one who should give the speech at the entrance ceremony for attaining the highest score among the entrance exam......

He declined all because of his laziness and he thought that speaking in front of an entire crowd is not on his alley.

So, let's get back to the reason. Why is he fired up? It's only simple, it's because he wanted to prove Miko that he can maintain his top ranking.

In fact, Miko is actually one of the top performing students as well. Placing only fourth in the ranking.

Miko only placed fourth because she's tired during the exams. As for Shiro, he didn't even intended to perfect the exam, he only answered each question and chose the right answers.

So the fact that Miko challenged Shiro on a duel for their grades, Shiro wouldn't usually mind. However, the crafty fox known as Yae Miko added a condition.

If Miko will be the top student for the midterms, she'll expose to everyone that Shiro is the one who aced the entrance exams and is supposedly the one who should've gave the speech during the entrance ceremony.
