The snake snapped its mouth closed around me. I was safe. Suddenly, the snake's throat contracted, and I felt myself being pulled back further into the snake.
ITS SWALLOWING ME!!!!!!! I thought frantically. I had forgotten that part if being eaten alive. Oops. I snapped my beak shut on the snake's tongue. Ew, that's disgusting, I thought, resisting the urge to let go and throw up. Some of my feathers came off painfully, being swallowed by the snake. However, I myself did not get swallowed because I was attached to the snake's tongue.
Only then did it feels the pain of my beak. It opened its mouth, flicking its tongue in and out and shaking its head violently in a successful attempt to dislodge me. My body flew through the air. I struggled to control the wild motion. I saw Alysse attacking the snake as I was flung through the air. What about meee.....
"Gotcha," Madlynne said as she snatched me from the air.
She almost dropped me again as she saw the snake sink its deadly fangs into Alysse's left wing.
