George Russell hesitantly approached Lewis at the gym, looking around to see if Daniella was also with her teammate but to his relief and disappointment, she was nowhere in sight.
Lewis gave the Williams driver a polite greeting as she continued working out.
"Have you seen or talked to Daniella?" George cautiously asked the Mercedes driver.
"I have.." Lewis replied paying very little attention to George and concentrating more on his workout.
"It's just..I have been trying to call her but she keeps declining them all..." George sounded a little guilty. "Do you know where she is now? I just want to know she is okay."
Lewis stopped and looked at him for a couple of seconds. George can tell what he was thinking and it made him feel even more guilty.
"She is out with Yuki exploring the city," Lewis replied as he resumed his workout. Earlier he asked his teammate if she would like to join in at the gym but by that time she was already out with Yuki and was at a restaurant.
"And...and is she alright?"
"Would you be alright if you were in her place?" Lewis asked.
"No.." George shook his head. "But..."
"Give her the space she needs right now," Lewis advised. "Because if you push it you might end up with a broken bone."
"Wha...what?" George's eyes slightly went wide.
"Dani has been talking about wanting to punch you the entire way from Singapore to Tokyo," Lewis explained. "She is angry and pissed. Even Max failed to make her feel better...which is a bit concerning."
George gulped and gave a small nod, worried about himself. He is no stranger to Daniella's temper and has been on the receiving end a few times, but not much since she took away his Mercedes seat and gave him no choice but to stay at Williams.
"Look, I am taking the team bowling on Saturday night and Dani is going as well. You should join us since you are also part of the Mercedes family... and that way you will get a chance to sort things out with her," Lewis suggested.
