Blackheads scowl out at you just when you are dressed up to go out and come to the mirror to apply lipstick . STEAM IT AWAY !

• Steam your face for about 1 to 2 mins and pat your face dry . Then, take a full tablespoon of sugar and milk , mix it and start rubbing it into the affected area , putting a little extra pressure on the nose for 5 - 10 mins . This will help you to scrub out the blackheads . You can carry on with this for a week to get better long term results

• Another simple method that you can try after steaming is , using a regular face scrub. Scrub your face gently , using your fingernails on your nose . Make sure your nails are clean and scrub your nose downwards . Wash it off and use a mild moisturiser on your face .

WHY NOT ? GO NATURAL ...

* If you are not a lover of packaged face scrubs , then make one on your own . Mix sugar , honey and lemon juice to form an exfoliating scrub . Rub it on your skin , leave on for about 10 mins and rinse your face with warm water .Lemon juice brightens the skin while sugar acts as an excellent scrub .

* An easy peasy and effective remedy for blackheads is this : Take 2 tablespoons of yoghurt and mix it with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice . Rub it on your skin , leave on for 10 mins and wash it off .

THE TOWEL TRICK

Dip a small washcloth in warm water and place it on your face. Keep this on for around 15 mins . The warm moisture from the towel will clear out the pores . Next apply a peel of mask or a good deep cleansing mask .
Bear in mind to never scrub your skin too hard , no matter how hard it is to get rid of the blackheads . Always remember to use a moisturiser after getting your blackheads off , since most processes tends to dry out your skin .
