Chapter 2

Later that day
When I got home from school I saw Bella and my dad talking in the living room:
Bella: "do you know what killed him?"
Dad: "we don't know exactly but we think it's some kind of animal."
Bella: "you think it was a animal who killed him!?"
"Killed who?" I said
"Someone was murderd by a animal some where." Bella said
"Looks girls. I want you to be safe so please take these." Dad handed us each a pepper spray
"Dad we can't-" Bella started
"Please. It will give your old man some peace at mind."
I smiled softly then put it in my bag. I walked to my room and saw that my mom was calling me.
"Hey mom!" I picked up
"Hey sweetie! I just talked to Bella. How's school going for you?"
"Well it's fine... I made a few friends!"
"Any booooyy freinnnddddsss?" My mom said teasing me
"No! Well there is a guy I find... interesting."
"Oh sorry sweetie I have to go!"
"Oh ok bye mom!" She hung up. I flopped down on my bed. My mind kept wondering to Edward. He's so... strange.
2 weeks later
I had been a few weeks sense Edward was back and we talked a little more. One morning it was freezing and there was ice all over the ground. People were shoving it down each others shirts and stuff but I was just by my car listening to my music. Bella was hanging out it's our friends. They waved for me to come over but I didn't want to. I couldn't help but stare at Edward across the lot. He was staring back. I turned away not wanting to be weird when I heard screams coming from behind me. I turned to look and I saw a car coming right for me. I panicked and shut my eyes excepting my fate when I heard a crash and opened my eyes. It was Edward. One of His hands was on the car that was coming for me and his other hand was on my car. His hand made a dent in the cars. We were staring at each other in the eyes. Almost close enough to kiss, when he got up, jumped over the cars and left. Everyone came rushing over to me but but I was to shocked to say anything.
"Oh my god y/n are you ok?" Bella asked
I couldn't believe what had happened. Bella got me in her car and took me to the hospital.
"Did...you see that?" I asked Bella
"See what?"
"Edward he..."
"I didn't see anything. You need to got to the hospital." I just stared out the window.
At the hospital
I was sitting on the hospital bed talking to the doctor when my dad came rushing in.
"Y/n are you ok!?" He said as he hugged me
"I'm fine really dad. Edward saved me." I saw the doctor had a concerned look on his face when I said that
"Again y/n I am so so so sorry for that... the car got out of my control!" Said the boy who was in the car that was coming at me
"It's fine really-" I started
"No no it's not fine y/n. Im gonna talk to you later." My dad said as he shut the curtain on the boy
"Dad it's not his fault."
"Y/n you would've died."
I just stared at him. After a bit the doctor left and I got up to get water. I overheard dr.Cullen, Edward, and Rosalie talking from a distance.
"You put us all at risk!" Rosalie stated
"What you wanted me to let her die?!" Edward said
"No son. Just please be more careful next time." Dr. Cullen said
I wanted to talk to Edward so I walked to them
"Hey Edward can I talk to you?"
"Fine." We walked around an empty corner "what?" He asked
"H-how did you get over to me so fast?"
"I was standing right next to you y/n."
"No... you were standing right next to your car. Across the lot."
"No I wasn't." He said
" yes you were!"
"Y/n you uh... you hit your head. I think your confused."
"I know what I saw!"
"What exactly was that?"
"You... you stopped the van! You pushed it away with your hand!"
"Well nobody's gonna believe you." He said
"I-I wasn't gonna tell anybody... I just need to know the truth."
"Cant you just thank me and get over it?"
"T-thank you..."
"Your not gonna let this go are you?"
"No."
"Well then I hope you enjoy disappointment." He said as he walked away
