Terzo burst into the room, hastily adjusting his trousers and shirt. He was considerably younger than the other two in the room and his clothing was noticeably different from the rest of the men in the room; including Copia.
His clothing was heavily inspired by King Gustav the third. Interesting choice."You're late!"
Boomed Green, clearly displeased enough about having to be here, red didn't even want to be in my presence and Copia looked relatively apathetic. He remained at a distance from me, still not speaking to me."Apologies Papa, I was Uh, busy..."
Terzo sauntered his way into the room, smelling strongly of cologne and sex. Frankly I was mortified but I shouldn't have really been surprised."I don't want to know..." Nihil carried on regardless of Terzo's behaviour.
"We're here to determine why she has been brought to us..."
On cue, Terzo interrupted hastily and looked over at me with a smirk plastered on his face, looking me up and down in this ridiculous outfit. Undressing me with his eyes.
"...what's your name?"My name? I-I don't have one. They're not going to trust me if I can't give them a name...honesty is the best policy?
Pretty sure there's something in the commandments about lying...I think. I'm not very good at my job...or previous job; if I hadn't already made that obvious.
Unsure of how long I was silent, thinking of an appropriate response, Terzo sighed as a shit eating grin spread on his face."Do I have you all flustered dear?"
Thud...
A loud smack resounded throughout the room as Green backhanded Terzo across the back of his head.
"Shut up. Can't you see she's scared"Scared! I'm terrified, I don't want to be interrogated, I've already went through one of those today.
"I uh...i dont have a name..."
Everyone in the room had a look of visible confusion on their faces as they looked at eachother.
"No name?"
Sister Imperator asked with sympathy tinging her voice.
Copia looked over at me for the first time since we left my bedroom, his brows raised also with a sympathetic expression on his face."We can come back to that, where did you come from and why?"
Red spoke up and took a seat with everybody else following suit.
With everyone staring at me, I began telling them the full story as to why I was here and where my wings had gone.
I turned my back to them and lifted the back of whatever short piece of fabric I was wearing for a shirt.
This exposed the smouldered stumps that were previously my wings, the friction of the fabric hurt immensely, followed by a small white feather falling to the floor.Everyone in the room let out a variation of a gasp, shocked at the sight of such hatred. If beings in hell found this ridiculous, then it must be bad.
Anxiously, I turned back around and picked up the feather, wishing to keep it as a memory.
A memory of where I came from, a memory of the torture that I went through in His holy kingdom, a place where all mankind would be forgiven and loved.
Tears welled up in my eyes as Sister Imperator approached me, she went to put an arm around my shoulders and the second she touched me, I fell to the floor.
She joined me, soothing my pain and wiping my tears.
I was so lost. Lost beyond all hope, I've been abandoned...and for what?"I'm so sorry I've intruded in your home. I didn't mean to...I thought I was doing good..."
I sniffed and looked up at the men looking at me in horror.
Terzo's expression was hard to read...he looked saddened but amused.
"You...you hit him with a chair?"
His brows raised as he began to look impressed.Nihil waved off Terzo's statement as both him and Primo shook their heads, digesting what I had just told them.
"You've been damned for doing right?"
I nodded and lowered my head in shame, sister Imperator lifted my chin to look up at everyone.
"You done a good deed in our books dear..."Copia finally approached me and put his hand on my shoulder, giving me a reassuring grasp.
"Papa...surely she can stay with us. She has nowhere to go..."
I looked up at him and smiled weakly, still surprised that in hell, they were welcoming...so much more welcoming and accepting than what I was used to.I looked over in Nihil's direction, reluctantly, he nodded in approval as Sister helped me to my feet.
"Thank you sir, I'm so grateful but...I dont know what I'm supposed to do...""We'll figure it out..."
Copia spoke up, I genuinely had no idea what to do or how to fix this but I'm sure we'd find a way.
