Cass is doing her usual work at the counter cleaning the counter top after some kid spilled a coffee on the top. While she's wiping the top, Sayaka interrupts her.
"Hey Cass! How was last night? Got any luck?" Ask her about something.
"I don't know Sayaka. I'm not an expert on gadget like Hiro and what's that thing called again? Thunder? Thudder..."said her while bring out her phone
Sayaka just laugh hearing her being clueless about it"Tinder Cass. You should check it often. You don't know if you hit the jackpot" tease Sayaka.
"Well I'm in no luck Sayaka because there's zero match. As i expected" said Cass. "Hey come on. It's only been a day. Try swipe more. I know it will work" "Alright..." Said Cass as she swiping the app called Tinders like crazy. Her inexperienced in handling technology shine to the eyes of Sayaka that chuckles seeing her best friend's enthusiasm.
The bell of her front door rings indication of customers entering her cafe.
"Cass. You can put you phone down because there's customer coming". Sayaka insist Cass to stop scrolling pics in the Tinder app. "Okay2." Finally Cass put down her phone and focus to the new customer that closing in to the main counter.
Cass suprise to see a tall broad man in black approaching her at the counter. "Hi. Welcome to Lucky Cat Cafe! What can i get for you misterr.....". "Lennox and give me one hot latte with heavy cream.". "Okay Mr Lennox. Coming right up!" Reply her with the usual enthusiasm voice.
While preparing his drinks, Cass take a glance at the man that she didn't recognize at all. Usually she recognized her customers even with their own mannerisms. His face is grumpy but handsome nonetheless. With her curiosity get the best of her, she finally speak up.
"Say mister Lennox. Enjoy your first time here?". The man is shocked that Cass can accurately guess that it is his first time visiting the Lucky Cat Cafe.
"It's actually quite nice. I like the interior. Simple but charming. By the way, how do you know it's my first time here?" Replies the man with a simple tone.
"Im sorry. I have this kind of weird habit to scan every customers that come in here and try my best to remember them to make them more comfortable. Mostly the usual customers. Some are faint, some are clear. But it's safe to say that it's my first time seeing you." Explain Cass as polite as possible try not to sounds rude.
"It's okay. I just move here in Fransokyo. Job description." Answer him shortly with a short faint smile.
Cass after hearing his explanation just nod and owhh him. "Well i think it's not too late to welcome you to Fransokyo. Here you go. One hot Latte with heavy cream. No need to worry about the check. It's on the house".
"Err no need miss... Cass is it?". "Yes and please accept it. I insist." Insist Cass. "Okay. Thank you". "You are very much welcome" said Cass with a big smile on her face. He smiles back at her.
After he finishes his latte, he gets up from his seat towering Cass. " Thanks miss Cass. The latte's good." Compliment him then proceeds to walk away heading to the main door.
"Thanks. Feel free to come anytime!" Said her while waving her hand to him. He replies back with a short hand wave.
After his silhouette are vanished from her sight, she tidying up his used spot. He left an empty cup of finished latte. She picks it up and she found a pile of money underneath it. The amount of the money are exactly the price of the latte.
She chuckles, "What an interesting guy". She cleans his spot and continues her work as usual.
