I'm not suppose to cuss since the background of my chosen course is bound to make me a role model to the youth. But what's the meaning of life if we didn't add a little spice on it. So here goes nothing.
Fvck College alright?
We might have heard this phrase "Get a degree you desire, the one you know you'll do well, and will definitely help you out through the process" enormous time. I'm not sure if that the exact one but screw it, you know what I'm talking about so let's get going.
In my point of view from personal experience, it's helpful to have to take that degree you see yourself in. Yet you will never be certain for what's coming next.
There are 3 possible reasons why you're going to college.
1. You want to go out there fulfill your dream, and live life the way you wanted
2. You have too, because your parent wants you to be their clone or heir, perhaps.
3. You have no choice; you have to get a degree regardless of the program and graduate to look for job to provide for family or self.
We cannot blame our parents if they wished us for our own good but they should also understand that the pressure of having to take a course you didn't want will just lead you to devastation.
Being in tertiary education is not far from our primary and secondary level. Let's view it this way, as for example when a teacher gives a spelling activity in class, its flow must follow the difficulty scale.
Easy = Kinder
Normal = Primary
Somewhat Hard = Junior
Hard = Senior
Challenging = College
College is more like a newly opened museum. You'll see it's beauty and inviting facade, In entering you already picture yourself after exploring the visit "A better future" you might have presumed.
Entering that hall with numbers of door awaits to be opened. So much surprise inside; could be an informative room, fun room, challenging room, breakdown room, a matter of life and death room, and everyone's favorite room The comfort room. You will have to get in of those whether you like it or not and even if your hundred percent sure in your passion, you have to lessen the expectation of being capable all the time that's why there's a room for breakdowns. Make sure you don't miss doors. Remember. It's not adobo if soy sauce, vinegar, and bay leaf are absent, looks the same but not as delicious.
In college, you have to learn how to be more independent. You are your time. There will be no more telling your mom to attend Christmas party meeting. You will have to learn how to survive on your own.
CAUTION:
First off, you might run into my personal negative experience with some of my former instructors in this book. I know we all have encounter some mediocre incident through our journey but NEVER DISRESPECT YOUR TEACHERS.
Here you will seek advice you didn't thought you needed. I encourage my dear readers to take this as your guide and motivation. Some of my survival techniques are toxic, it's either you clone my way or help yourself to prevent the toxins.
