Shikamaru walked into the hospital, carrying a basket of fruits in his left hand while his other hand was inside his pocket.

It's been almost a week since the incident and Shikamaru has been visiting Naruto every day, sometimes an hour or two before he heads to work. He wanted to help lighten his mood up since he knew Naruto isn't the type to enjoy staying cooped up in a space like this.

When he reached the door, he was about to knock when he heard a sinister like giggle right beside him. He's heard something like this way too often, mostly from his friend Ino. He shivered, nervously craning his neck to search for the source of the sound.

There stood Tsunade, a cheshire like grin already plastered on her face, "Huhuhu, you're back again"

"What's with that expression, I'm seriously creeped out" Shikamaru thought to himself, trying to avoid eye contact with the Hokage.

"You two are quite close huh?"

"Well yeah.. we are friends after all" Shikamaru muttered out, feeling his palm sweat when Tsunade's grinned deepened. He's not understanding what her deal was and it's only making him nervous being near her.

Tsunade sighed out loudly, shrugging her shoulder as she walked up to the door. "Of course, friends, friends, and friends. Anyways, I'm also going in to check up on him so come along now"

"She's so troublesome..."

She grabbed onto the handle and proceeded to swing the door open. Stepping inside with Shikamaru following behind her, they both saw Naruto sitting fully up with his head resting on his hand as he stared boringly out the window.

When he heard the sounds of footsteps, he turned his head to look at Tsunade.

"Baa-chan! Thank god you're here! Can I leave now?? I can't handle the white color in here anymore, it's to the point I can hear the color white!!" Naruto groaned out loudly, gripping his hair to add onto the dramatic effect.

Tsunade and Shikamaru flinched at the sudden loudness, both also feeling relieved that Naruto was back to his bright self. Tsunade walked closer up to him, bonking his head with a stack of paperwork.

"You can leave after filling these out brat. I'll let you do it with your buddy here, I'll be back to check on you again and collect the paperwork" Tsunade told the blond boy, placing the papers down on his lap and walked out of the room with a wave.

Naruto pouted, one side of his cheek puffed up as he scanned the words on the papers. He began filling it out the best he could, occasionally whining out lowly to himself. Shikamaru walked up to his bed, placing the basket down on the side table and taking a seat.

"What's got you whining now?"

Somehow, Naruto completely missed the lazy boy's entranced and nearly screamed when he heard his voice. "Dude!! You can't just come up to me like that, you nearly sent me right back to the hospital!"

Shikamaru let out a short chuckle, leaning his arms on the rails of the bed and rested his head on his folded arms.

"Sorry, sorry~"

Naruto only scoffed at him, turning his attention back to the papers and continued sulking to himself. Shikamaru watched him write on the paper but noticed how he would hesitate on some of the questions.

"What's wrong? Do you need help?" Shikamaru offered, leaning a bit closer to have a better read of the questions.

"It just said that I need someone to be with me since Tsunade is worried about who did such damage on me in my own apartment. I'm.. not sure who would want to be with me though" Naruto answered, tapping the back of the pen on the paper as he tried to think of something.
