Xingqiu and Chongyun have been friends for years upon years, and naturally Xingqiu grew romantic feelings for Chongyun.

After discarding many idea's Xingqiu made a plan to confess to him over some food, so he met up with Chongyun and took him to Wanmin restaurant.

Xiangling was also in on this and she had already prepared Chongyun's cold noodles and was making Xingqiu's meal by the name they got there.

"Welcome to Wanmin Restaurant, how may I- Oh, it's you two! hello again!" Chongyun waved to her with a small smile, Xingqiu smiled.

"Greetings, Xiangling. Two bowls of Noodles, please." Xingqiu ordered as both him and Chongyun took their seats. Chongyun gave Xingqiu a look, fully expecting Xingqiu to sneak Chili's into his dish.

"Done! Please enjoy." Xiangling said in a sing song voice, placing the two dishes in front of the males.

"Thanks."

"Yes, thank you."

"No problem!" Xiangling then left them to talk. Grinning as she went over to the kitchen and pretended to be busy so she could ease drop. Chongyun glanced at the dish, it wasn't steaming and looked to be chilled completely.

Xingqiu pushed his own hair behind his ear as he used his chopsticks to eat a bite full of noodles. He noticed Chongyun staring at his food and chuckled softly.

"The food is fine, my liege." He reassured. Chongyun gave him an unsure glance and picked some of the noodles up with his chopsticks. He gulped.

This better not have Chili's in it. He thought before hesitantly eating the noodles, he was pleasantly surprised when he didn't taste anything unusual. "See?" Xingqiu smiled warmly before biting into his dish again.

Chongyun still wasn't fully convinced that Xingqiu wouldn't pull someone but he shrugged the thought off and continued to eat his foot. Xingqiu paused and stayed silent for a moment.

C'mon Xingqiu... you got this, It's just a confession. He cheered himself on before taking a deep breath. "Chongyun, I've been meaning to tell you something for awhile now."

"Hm? What is it?" Chongyun asked, completely oblivious. Xingqiu paused again before bringing up the courage to actually say it.

"I.. I like you- like- like like you." He confessed. Xiangling turned around from where she stood so she could see Chongyun's reaction. Chongyun blinked slowly, pausing for a long time before giving Xingqiu a slightly angered look.

"Is this a prank?" He asked, looking agitated as he didn't think it was funny. Xingqiu's mouth hung open for a moment before he smiled.

"Yup! You got me, haha, just a prank! I got you good, huh?" He laughed it off as he held back the tears that tried to push past his eyes.

"It wasn't the best joke though." Chongyun pointed out. Xingqiu then stood up and placed an amount of mora that could pay for both of them.

"Haha, yeah, I should really up my game. Anyways, I gotta get home." Xingqiu rushed before he walked away. Xiangling frowned as she walked over to the counter.

Chongyun watched him walk away before he looked at Xiangling.

"Is he acting strange or is it just me..." Xiangling pinched the brim of her nose.

"Chongyun, I..." she sighed. "Piece it together yourself." She finished as she picked up the mora Xingqiu left and walked into the restaurant. Chongyun was left there, confused. He didn't understand what she meant by 'piece it together yourself'.
