It's been a month since I've been with my biological family, and I really warmed up to them. They are amazing and so kind.

My friendship with Hu has grew, we are best friends for sure.

I look up at the clock waiting for the big hand to land on the twenty five so I can head to art class.

Once it hits the twenty five I get up and walk quickly to the door, right as I get there the bell rings and I walk out. I meet up with Hu at my locker and we begin walking to art class.

"Soo I was thinking we go to the carnival this weekend." Hu says. I look at him and my eyes widen. "Really?!"

He opens the classroom door for me and nods. "Yeah we both never been to one and I was thinking we both experience the excitement together."

I walk in the classroom him following behind. "That's an amazing idea!" The carnival? I've never been but that makes it even more exciting!

"You think your parents would let you go? I would be picking you up and dropping you back off." He says with a smile.

Hu was in an all boys private school, his parents were really strict with him, but also wanted him to have his own space. He always spent his time studying or in the house, like me. Except I've only been out the house three times in my life. He could leave the house whenever.

His parents let him spend his last two years of high school not in a private school. He moved to New York and started coming here, he moved in with his older brother.

We both sit at our table and place our stuff down, I take out my sketch book.

"I'll ask them tonight, but I'll text you there answer. I'm sure they would say yes!" He smiles. "Great!"

"No." Pedro says. I frown. "Why not? Pleasee it's my first time ever seeing a carnival." I say with my arms crossed.

"My answer is final. Besides how do i know you'll be safe with the guy? I've never met him." I look down.

"B-but he would never hurt me Pedro, he's the sweetest person ever. Pleasee." He sighs then looks up from his paper work. "Mi Hermana, No creo que debas ir." He says.

(My sister, I don't think you should go.)

Once I got home I went to Rafael's office hoping he'd say yes. But then remembered he and Maria went on a business trip and won't be back till the morning, they also said Pedro was in charge till they got back.

So that's why I'm in his office now.

"If Rafael was here he would let me go. So would Maria." I say with a pout. "But they're not here. My decision is no still."

I walk out of his office and walk to my room with a frown on my face. Why can't I go? I'll be safe. Would Pedro say yes if one of the boys come? No. He would say no.

I open my room door then close it and lay down on my bed.

I woke up this morning with a frown still on my face. I brushed my teeth and washed my face, then began looking for an outfit.

I want to go to the carnival.

I decided to put on a Jean skirt with a white shirt, my hair in two braids. I grab my converse and put them on.

I walk downstairs and walk to the kitchen where I see both Rafael and Maria. My frown immediately gets replaced by a smile.

I run up to them and hug them as they hug me back. I pull away saying how much I've missed them.
