Suna chuckled at the twins that carried on fighting as they tried to choose a place to go eat. Pulling out his phone, he recorded the two for a few moments before getting bored, the smell of something sweet attracting his attention.
Following the scent, he found himself inside of a smoothie store, a couple of people sitting around at the stools.
He hadn’t even realized that he was standing right in front of the cashier box, walking up to the girl that had her back to him. Her face was covered by the red cap that was placed over her head, slight pieces of her (h/c) hair peeking through the cap and hoodie she had on.
He liked the way she smelled, she kind of reminded him of newly blossomed flowers in a flower shop.
Suna didn’t announce his presence, simply staring at her back as she replaced the previously empty cup holders with new cups, humming to herself as she carried on doing what she was doing.
He felt someone tap his shoulder, bringing him back into reality, “I’m sorry, are you going to order or…?” He felt embarrassment settle in as he noticed a few people had been standing in line waiting for him to take his order.
“Oh! No, sorry about that, please go ahead.” He replied, moving out of the way as the young woman thanked him.
Suna didn’t leave the place though, instead heading over to a nearby stool to sit down. He watched as the woman called to the girl behind the counter, watching as she turned around with a smile on her face, greeting the customer.
He couldn’t help but think she was really pretty, her (s/c) skin illuminated by the lights hanging above as her eyes shined as she spoke. He felt himself blush slightly when the girl turned to him, catching his eyes momentarily before getting the rest of the orders.
She was a quick worker, quickly getting all of the drinks finished and handing them back out before grabbing a rag to clean up the covers, her back facing him once again.
Suna thought he might as well order something if he spent a good solid 20 minutes just staring at her without doing anything.
“Hey, can I order?” He said, coming up to the counter.
“Sure thing,” she smiled, turning to face him as she wiped her hands down. “What would you like to order?”
He took one last look at the menu before placing his choices, “Can I take three large drinks? One lemonade, another orange, and…” He cut himself off as he struggled to pick on what he would want to taste from the menu.
“Do you have any recommendations…?” He asked, looking back at the girl, taking a look at her name tag, “Y/n?” He finished, smiling at her.
She looked back at him after inserting the first two orders, “Lately the strawberry drink has been getting pretty popular, would you like that?” She asked, grabbing three cups as she filled one with lemonade.
“Sure,” Suna agreed, taking out some money as she told him the price, “Great! That’ll be $15.19, would you like anything else?”
“No thank you, that’s all.”
She filled up the remaining cups, placing the lips on top of them along with three straws onto the container for the to-go customers. “By the way,” she said, handing Suna his change for the twenty dollar bill, “I know you were staring.” She chuckled, voice teasing as Suna shifted in place, face red at getting called out.
He rubbed the back of his neck, an airy chuckle of his own escaped his lips as he met her (e/c) eyes once again, “Well you are really pretty, and I couldn’t help but admire it.” He admitted a soft smile as he tilted his head at her. “And the name’s Suna.”
Y/n’s features were clouded with both from shock and being flustered at his statement, how could he say something so casual like that?
She felt herself smile even deeper, “You know, I never really do this,” she replied, finishing up his order as she placed it onto the counter along with his receipt, “But do you think I could get your socials?” She felt herself getting embarrassed at pulling such a bold move on him.
Suna felt himself choke, a cute girl was asking for his social? “Sure!” He eagerly replied, fishing his phone out of his pocket as he handed it to her.
She quickly added herself on his phone before handing it back to him, “I’ll add you back later once I’m on break!” She said, handing him his order before taking the next person’s order that was waiting in line.
He turned to face her one last time before making his way out, watching her wave goodbye to him as he returned the gesture.
