Making and Baking

I got up, and heard the sound of a ring. It came from the kitchen. Must be a timer, for the "cake". I peeked into the kitchen from the doorway, trying to see what she was doing.

I then saw "Mom" putting the cake into the oven, batter spilling over the side of the pan. She then wiped the side with her finger and plopped the battered finger into her mouth.

"Perfect!, the children will LOVE this!",
she said with a grin. Bending over, she gracefully put the cake into the oven. Shutting the oven door, her finger was caught in it.

"Ouch!", she screamed. But to my surprise,, didn't show any emotion. After prying her finger out, she walked over to the cabinet, and got out something...

Something thick and red..

As she placed it on the counter, she began to mix it with water, and a little bit of wine.
It started to bubble, and fizz up into a light pink color, but still had the thick consistency.

As she tasted it, her face lit up. Must be "good". Her cooking never tasted good- mainly because it's human. Over the time, I've adjusted to the taste. If you just gulp it down, you can't taste it anyway.

She then tooked a rusted, broken spoon and a plastic bag out of the pantry aswell. She carefully spooned out the mix, and into the plastic bag, doing so multiple times. After the can was empty, she rolled up the plastic bag-mix into a pipe.

An icing pipe.

The oven began to make muffled bangs, and metal hitting eachother. She walked over to the oven, and banged it a couple times. Soon, the noise stopped.

She grabbed the can, and threw in into the garbage, a roach jumping out after.

I really hate bugs.

I still wonder what the ingredients are..
since we don't even have flour..

I began to not worry about the thought, and looked at the window. It could never be opened, it's nailed, and glued down. We even tried using our fingers, but our nails just broke.

"Mom" really doesn't want us escaping I guess. And from the diary I read, she's also  going mentally unstable. Very slowly..

"Hey, you alright?", Solomon said. "Yeah, just fine." , "You've been staring at the wall for forever, just checking up on you.", he said with a chuckle.

"So, how's her 'cake' coming?", Micheal asked. "Not too great.. she made 'icing', but it doesn't look edible.", I said.

"I bet it's pig guts and eyes!", Sadie quietly screamed. "You're just about right to that one.. I saw a tooth in it.", I said. "Ew!", Liam screamed. "I don't wanna eat teeth!", he added, snarling at the mouth.

I didn't know whether or not to reply, regarding the past situation of him making fun of me. I chose to forgive and forget.

"I dont either, but shes probably gonna make us eat it anyway, ugh.", I said. "Ha, yeah..", Solomon said.

"Sooo.., um, do guys have any, information?", Sadie said. "Besides the cake?", I thought about it. I wanted to tell her everything that I found, but what if they told on me? Liam and Roman would be the first to do so anyway.

I would share it secretly then.
