Will I die tonight? Of course not.
Zoey slammed the axe down, barely missing me and I swung my body to the right. The axe got stuck in the pile of wood.
I ran out of the attic, closing the door. Then, I ran into "Moms" room, as I was going to find the key.
I hid behind her door as I heard the attic door open. Closing the door infront of me, Zoey came running in. She looked around frantically.
She checked under the bed, and when she did, I ran out of there, locking the door.
She then tried to open the door, as the handle was moving quickly. I then ran towards the stairs, quickly moving.
Going down the stairs, I heard a thud.
Zoey was chopping the door down with the hatchet.
I ran underneath the stairs, as I heard grunting from the closet.
Micheal..
I whispered, as another thud was heard.
I had to find the key.
I then thought about something-
The basement.I heard the door thud once more, and a bang. She then ran down the stairs and searched the kitchen frantically, trying to find me.
I then scooched closer to the light,
I was gonna make a run for it.
As she was turned around, I ran towards the dining room, and opened the door that led to the stairs. I then closed the door, running down the stairs. I heard someone screaming, maybe they got caught.
I looked and searched quickly, but didn't find anything. Out of th corner of my eye, I saw the mattresses. The ones the girl hid under from the hide and seek game.. and it had blood on it...
But then, I heard Zoey come downstairs. She looked under the stairs, behind boxes, and almost looked where was until she heard "Mom" say,
Times almost up!
My eyes were wide as I knew Micheal might not make it. Zoey left the room, running upstairs.
When she did, I moved the mattresses to reveal the blood.
My eyes watered.
The girl from that hide and seek game...
Was still here.
She had died of suffocation, and something had stabbed her, causing the blood to pour out. I looked at her, scanning her clothes and accessories. Looking at her necklace I saw something that resembled a key.
I put my hand on it, and grabbed it. I then pulled in from around her head and smiled.
I found it.
I then ran upstairs catching my breath every few meters. I ran to the kitchen closet, and grabbed the lock. Sticking the key inside, I saw Zoey upstairs.
She then menacingly grinned and slowly walked her way down here. I saw that she was afraid in her eyes though. She reached the bathroom as I was still struggling to open the rusted lock.
She was at the stairs now.
I then heard "Mom" say,
10 more seconds!,
I then violently shook the lock.
9...
It wouldn't budge, as Zoey was slowly walking across the living room.
8...
I heard a click in the lock, but it wasn't open. I was close.
7...
Zoey was very close now, but I wouldn't give up yet.
6...
The lock then made a loud noise, as I looked down, it cracked.
5...
Zoey was right beside me as she lifted up her hatchet.
4...
The lock felt loose now as the crack was bigger. I slammed it against the doors, as it cracked again. Zoey was now going to swing the hatchet.
3...
The lock was halfway cracked, and I needed 2 more hard hits to crack it.
2...
Zoey had the hatchet high up now going to swing at one second. I then hit the lock hard on the door multiple time before..
It fell.
1...
Zoey swing the hatchet but I had opened the door already, and she hit the floor instead. I fell onto Micheal, as I caught my breath.
I had done it.
