The morning light shines in on the little but spacious bedroom of Alice Grier and her husband Johnathan Grier. Alice was the first to wake up as always to perform her wifely duties. She did what every housewife did for their husband, she cooked breakfast for him, made him coffee, got his work clothes ready and made sure he was satisfied before work.

Alice walked down the stairs to her newly designed living room that her husband paid for. She walked into the kitchen to start breakfast but the phone rang. She looked at the caller ID to see that it was her husband's need job calling.

Alice and Johnathan recently moved to New York a few weeks ago because Johnathan was offered a new job. He was a big time lawyer who everyone wanted but hated at the same time. He helped put away alot of bad people and he loved doing it. As his caring wife I was there with him every step of the way Watching him defend his clients and it turned me on. Everytime he closed a case we would have passionate love on his couch in his office. Well that was then and this is now. Now he has little time for me and when he does have time all we do is sit in silence. Our marriage isn't what it used to be.
I answered the phone and a Man was on the other line.
May I speak with Johnathan Grier please?
The Man asked. He had a deep New York accent.

Yea, sure one moment please. I ran up stairs to wake Johnathan up.

Babe, telephone. I say to him shaking him to get up.

His eyes begin to open slowly as he grabbed the phone. I walked out the room so he could talk in peace and I went back to the kitchen to begin breakfast. I started to make his favorite cheese grits and eggs, sausages, Bacon, and a cream cheese bagel. I started the coffee pot and the kitchen smelled like heaven. Johnathan walked downstairs and I realized that he was already dressed for work.

Honey, I finished your breakfast. I say to him with a smile hoping he notice my new Teddy I bought yesterday.
Thanks babe, but I have to run. A big case is today and they need me. He says to me while taking a bite out of his bagel and speeding out the door. I just stood there wanting to cry but just before I could cry he ran back in and I started to smile. Just when I thought he was coming back to say he was sorry, he zoomed passed me and grabbed his coffee mug and poured his coffee.

I forgot my coffee. Can't forget that. He gives me a kiss on the cheek and rushes out the front door.

I stood there in shock and I just sat down in front of his plate and began to cry.
