Lesson Eight Chapter Sixty-Three - The Charmer (1)

"All right, it's time to explain what we have planned for day two of our retreat." Lucifer was looking the same as ever as he spoke, but Mammon had his full body against a frowning Beel. "... Quit leaning up against me, Mammon. You're heavy, you know."

"Shut up and at least let me rest my head against your shoulder, Beel. Lucifer kept me up until morning... I didn't sleep a wink last night...." Mammon let out a long yawn as he said this. I felt bad for him since he was struggling just to keep his eyes open.

"Yes, Lucifer just kept going and going last night, didn't he? I'm sure you had a hard time, Mammon. Though I have to say, it was fun to watch. Hahaha." Diavolo covered his mouth as laughter escaped. Mammon glared at him, but it was hard to take it seriously due to the fact his head was still on Beel's shoulder. "That's NOT funny!"

"Big news: Last night Lord Diavolo, Lucifer, and Mammon totally [CENSORED]!" I immediately choked on my spit when I heard Levi say that. He is not seriously going to post that online?!

"HEY! Don't post stuff like that! I don't want my personal information leakin' online!" Mammon was totally ignoring the important thing that Levi wrote... Satan's expression also matched mine when he noticed this as well. "Wait, that's the part you have a problem with, Mammon?"

"Hehe. I bet they were on the [CENSORED], and Lucifer [CENSORED] and [CENSORED]! Right... am I right?" Asmodeus had a wide smile on his face, like he didn't just say the most sexual thing I ever heard. My face felt hot as my mind started to imagine those scenes.

"Simeon? Why'd you put your hands over my ears? I can't hear anything this way." Luke's innocent eyes were looking up at Simeon, who was currently covering his ears. Simeon had a smile on his face, but it seemed a bit strain as he looked down at Luke. "Right. That's the idea, Luke."

"So, back to business. I think you mentioned that day two of the retreat was supposed to be—"Before Solomon could finish, Simeon cut in. "A scavenger hunt, right?"

"Yes, we'll be having a scavenger hunt. Each group will be given riddles to solve. Each riddle hints at one of the works of art or historical items here in the castle. Once you figure the answer, you find and take a picture of the item in question. The things you learned during yesterday's tour of the castle should come in handy as you try solving your riddles." Lucifer explained the rules for the scavenger hunt to everyone.

"We're doing this in groups, huh? In that case, I'm groupin' up with Yuki." Mammon put an arm around my shoulders and shook my body aggressively. My vision got shaky for a bit before everything went back to normal.

"Why don't we just say that the groups will be made up of the same people you share a room with?" Diavolo said that with a smile on his face, and I could hear Mammon let out a growl of frustration next to me.

After that, we went into our assigned group for the scavenger hunt and started to figure out the solutions to the riddles that were given to us. After a while we ended up back in the places that were filled with the many paintings and the place where Asmodeus' former lover was as well.

"Hey there, Satan. How're things going for your team? Well, I hope?" Simeon had a polite smile on his face as he made conversation with Satan.

"Oh please. Don't think I don't know what you're up to. You hatched a plot to keep us from winning, didn't you?" Satan had an untrusting frown on his face as he looked at Simeon suspiciously.

"I'm sorry. What are you referring to?" Simeon had a confused expression as he tried to understand what Satan was suggesting.

"He's referring to Asmo, who's preventing us from making any progress at the moment." Solomon had an irritated expression as he told us this with a heavy sigh.

"Check it out! We found what we were lookin' for. We tried to take a picture. But then HE went and jumped in front of it so we couldn't get a clear shot...!" Mammon pointed angrily at Asmodeus, who had an innocent expression on his face.

"Whaaat? Oh, come on. Wouldn't you rather have a picture of ME than this boring old piece of art? I'm much better looking. Your camera will thank you! Ooh, yes... accurate picture! That was an excellent shot you got of me. You know, I think I look best photographed from just above at maybe a 45-degree angle... Oh, though I always look good, naturally. As if I even need to tell you that." Asmodeus was cooing as he looked at the photo that Mammon took with fluster cheeks.

"D'aaaaah" Luke's voice rang out and Simeon quickly went to his side. "Luke, what's wrong?"

"What's wrong? I'll tell you what's wrong! I was trying to take a picture of the goddess statue here, but before I could get the shot, Asmodeus CHARMED the statue...!" Luke was pouting as he told us this and I could just imagine a pair of dog ears on top of his head.

"Mmfa mmfa grumphe grumpharafai." Beel was also trying to say something, but I could barely understand him due to the fact he was still very much eating the donut as he was trying to talk.

"Beel, how about you swallow that donut you're eating before trying to talk?" Satan rubbed between his eyes as he said this to Beel.

"The statue is so totally in love with Asmodeus now that we can't get her to go back to her original pose... Sent!" Levi was making another post of the current image and I could feel a headache appearing due to all the problems Asmodeus was causing.

Author Note - Ahhh... Took me a while to update but my computer has been giving me some issues lately. I am going to figure out how to post my stories while dealing with this issue. Hopefully I can get an upgrade soon but you never really know. Anyway, I am going to try to write a bit more and hopefully my computer will be nice to me and allow me to write with no worries, hahaha (laughing through pain...)
