Chapter 3- Summer

Freddy's pov:
I turn my head the other way, as I can't bare to watch, then let go of the arrow. I hear a whine of pain, then a thump. I whirl back around. My eyes widen.

A beautiful girl, with blonde curly hair is lying where the wolf was previously standing. She has an arrow in her leg, and has fainted. I realise quickly that that wolf, was a werewolf. I hit them.

I rush over, and pull my first aid kit out of my rucksack. I carefully pull the arrow out of her leg, and bandage it up. I then pick her up, and carry her back home. Since my mum is at work, I won't get in trouble. I lay her down on my bed, and stare at her. She is really pretty. She has blonde curly hair, and beautiful lips. God, I wanna kiss her bad. Wait...what?

She starts to stir, and opens her eyes. "Hi." I say awkwardly. She stares at me in confusion, as she takes in her surroundings. "Where am I? Who are you? Are you an enemy?" The girl asks.

She grits her teeth and growls at me. "Don't worry, I'm not a threat." I tell her, and she narrows her eyes. "Then why did I get an arrow to the leg when you saw me?" She says suspiciously, gesturing to her bandaged leg. I bite my upper lip.

"I'm really sorry..." I whisper, "My name's Freddy." I tell the girl.

She gives me a hard glare. "How do I know that I can trust you?" She questions cautiously. I sigh. "Because, I'm gonna warn you. My kind is after you and your kind. I don't want to hurt you. I don't even know why I shot you, I just panicked." I explain, staring into her eyes the whole time. I don't know why or how, but I seem to have an affect on her. She releases a breath.

"My name is Summer. I trust you. Maybe we can be friends. But, if I find out that you're lying, I will murder you and put your head on display in my cave." The werewolf says coldly, glaring at me. I gulp.

It still might be a little while before I completely earn Summer's trust, but I'm determined to become friends with the girl. She's gorgeous, and being friends with a werewolf will come in handy.

Suddenly, Summer realises something. "Wait... Freddy...are you human?" She asks in a quiet tone.

I nod. Why is she asking.

Summer's eyes widen, and she jumps off the bed, backing as far away from me as possible. She turns into a wolf, and growls. "Wow! What's wrong?" I throw my hands in the air, as if surrendering.

"I will never be friends with a human. Your kind killed my father. I'm not afraid to do the same for you." Summer growls, and I frown deeply. "I know, humans have done a lot of stupid and unjust things, but I'm not like them. I don't want to hurt you." I murmur. Summer looks at me, and scans my face, trying to work out whether I'm lying or not. She seems to finally believe me, as she transforms back into a human.

She sits down on the edge of my bed, and pats the spot next to her, telling me to sit with her. I comply. We talk for a little while, and find out that even though we are different creatures, we have quite a lot in common.

Summer's pov: 
Freddy and I talk for a while, and we discover that we actually have quite a lot in common. I can't believe that I'm saying this, but...

This man is different to the rest of humankind.

He is kind, caring, funny and sweet, even if he did hit me with an arrow. He didn't mean it.

Suddenly, there was a yell from down the stairs. "Freddy, I'm home!" Came a woman's voice. His eyes widened, and he quickly pulls me up, and pushes me into his closet. "What are you-" I start, but Freddy places a finger to my lips. "My Mum is home. She is against your kind, so be quiet, don't make a sound." He whispers, before closing the door. I peek through the crack in the door.

His door opens, and a woman with chocolate brown hair walks in. "Hi Freddy! How was your day? Did you murder any of those horrible creatures?" She asks, kissing Freddy's forehead. "Yeah, I killed a couple." He tells her.

I feel my rage bubbling, but then I notice that his fingers are crossed behind his back, and I smile softly.

I think I've finally made a friend.

I finally updated😁. Sorry it took me so long, I've just been busy with studying, guitar practice, homework(😀🔫), so it took me a while to update either of the books😛. But anyway, make sure to vote, comment, follow and check out my other books☕.
