Chapter 7

(We're back, No time to waste, let's get it!)

After Han's visit to Orochimaru with his Father, time seemed to fly by faster every day. Now that he was a Genin and lived in the village, for now at least, he was assigned to a team under a Jonin. At first, he was nervous about having to work with people he hadn't met before, but he was pleasantly surprised when his teammates ended up being Akeru and Yuua. The person they were being led by was a Jonin named Konan. She had fair skin, orange eyes, blue hair, and a paper rose in it. She wasn't very talkative but she lead with extreme precision and commanded respect, of course, she didn't just accept them all willy-nilly.

At first, since they were just Genin and inexperienced Konan decided it would be best to test them. She prepared mock missions for the trio, from the beginning, Akeru and Yuua were having trouble working off of each other due to their different viewpoints of each other. Akeru thought Yuua was weaker than the rest of the team and needed to be constantly protected. Yuua thought that Akeru was trying to take too much of a lead on missions and forcing them into difficult situations, meaning she would ignore his orders and cause a rift between them. Konan saw the situation and thought about sending them back to the academy, but something told her to press onward.

Today, Konan asked Akeru, Yuua, and Hansuke to meet her at her house early in the morning, she strangely asked them not to eat breakfast because she was preparing it for them. As Hansuke arrived, he saw both Akeru and Yuua having a debate near the front door of the house. "Great, thanks to you, instead of just getting right into another mission, we have to come here and get lectured...!" "How is any of this MY fault...? You're the one that wants to take the lead all the time instead of letting our JONIN, lead us...!" As things got more heated, Hansuke decided to step in and try to calm the both of them down. "H-Hey guys. There is no need to fight, we just have to communicate a little better, that's all...! Let's just go ahead and meet up with Konan sensei...I'm sure she has something planned for us all..."

Hansuke sighed to himself as he knocked on the door of the house, they quietly waited for a few moments until footsteps could be heard. As the door creaked open, it revealed their team leader Konan dressed in her Jonin attire, ready to head out. "Let's go..." She said calmly. The trio nodded slightly and followed after their leader. "...Today we gave up our mission, so we can work on something much more important. This isn't directed toward anyone in particular, this is for the whole team, we are going to do an exercise to help you gain trust and knowledge of each other." As they arrived, Konan pulled something out of her back pocket and held it near her face, it was two bells.

"In this exercise, your job as a three-man team is to take these two bells from me. You have from now...8:30 till noon. If you are not able to get them, then there will be a punishment...." She walked a bit further away and got into a fighting stance. "...Come..." Instantly Akeru rushed forward and tried to land a hit on Konan, but she just evaded everything. Seeing Akeru struggle, Hansuke was about to jump in and lend some assistance, but Yuua beat him to it and prepared her own technique. "Water Style: Poison Fog wave!" She inhaled and then breathed out a purple fog toward Konan, however, since Akeru was a close-range fighter, he was inevitably hit by it. Konan on the other hand created a pair of wings out of paper and flew up into the air as well as pushing the poison toward Akeru, Yuua, and Hansuke. Han was able to dodge easily, but Akeru and Yuua were hit.

"Dammit Yuua...!" Akeru began to cough from the poison entering his lungs. Hansuke took note of this and helped them out. "Wind Style: Breakthrough!" Han took a deep breath and blew out a strong gust of air sweeping the poison from on top of his teammates. "Ugh...Good looking out Han...!" Hansuke nodded back at Akeru but their encouragement was met by Konan's aggression. "Stay Focused!" She suddenly appeared directly above Yuua and was about to cut her with a paper sword, but Akeru was able to recover and decided to attack and defend at the same time. "Earth Style: Stone Fist Jutsu!" Rocks appeared on top of Akeru's skin and enveloped his arm up to his elbow. He cocked his arm back and with one swift movement launched a punch toward Konan hitting her square on the side.
