Update

Been a while, huh?

It's surreal to see people still reading this. I'm glad it's had some worth beyond the shitty little fact book I cobbled together when I was 12 years old.

I'm in college now, and it feels insane to look back on a relic of the past like this. Sometimes I stop and think how I got this far, and how my past self would have reacted to how I am today. I struggled a lot both socially and physically back when I was writing this, and some of those struggles continued through my high school years. There were times when I felt panicked and isolated, where I felt deeply insecure in myself and my relationships.

I say all this to try to impart some wisdom onto anyone who might be reading at a similar age or situation that I was. That advice is this: it gets better. Any situation, no matter how awkward, draining, or depressing it may be, is ultimately temporary. It may feel like an eternity in the moment, but I can assure you it will pass

That isn't to say that it won't take some effort. Don't make the same mistakes I did: don't use technology to isolate yourself when you're in the moment with other people, don't sit out of social gatherings, make an effort to reach out to people and form genuine connections.

I recognize the absurdity and preachiness of posting life advice to a fanfiction site on a book about Kirby of all things, but this is advice I wish I had heard back then, advice I find important enough to pass on.

I have no intention of continuing this work (I'm not nearly as big a Kirby fan as I was back then), but it feels right to use whatever tiny influence I have to share these things that I would have benefitted from in the past.

To any who read this: thank you, and I'm glad I could create something that was at least marginally entertaining to some. This will be the last post I make on this account.

I know my past self would be proud of me today, and I hope you'll all be able to say the same.
