Take me away

The next night Rosa biked home from work after working overtime from a lack of staff.
She looked at her surroundings before getting off her vintage bike her neighbour gave her.
She walked to the house to see Alice in a black car while Bella argued with Jake while sitting in the car next to Alice.
"Jake.
It's late, go home" said Rosa as she looked at him with her expressive eyes that looked like crystals.
"Your sister's going after that bloodsucker," said Jake.
"You found Edward?" Rosa asked as she walked up to the car.
"Yeah and he's going to try to kill himself.
I need to go" said Bella.
"I'm coming with," said Rosa softly before getting in the back.
"Why?" said Bella.
"I told dad that if you did this I would go with you and make sure nothing happens to you," said Rosa before getting out a book.
Alice looked at Bella before driving.
Rosa didn't know what had happened before she got home but the little person in her head still wanted her to get in the car.
She never liked Edward as he gaslighted Bella too much and then left her without a true reason and without a speck of emotion but she still felt like she had to go with Bella.
Rosa sat in the back as she read a book she had to read for English completely unaware of what she was going to eventually walk into and how one trip would change her forever and leave her needing something more than she needed oxygen.

Time passed as Alice drive through Italy like a mad woman as Bella had a breakdown next to her.
Rosa looked outside as she looked at Volterra.
It was beautiful and as she looked at each part of it the more she felt at home inside the ancient walls.
She could explain it but the feeling of being in Volterra was euphoric and it made her feel warm and safe.
"They refused him," said Alice.
"So?" said Bella.
"He's gonna make a scene, show himself to the humans," said Alice.
"No, when?" said Bella.
"He's gonna wait until noon, when the sun is at its highest," said Alice.
"God Alice, you've gotta hurry up," said Bella as her anxiety ate her alive.
"There's Volterra," said Alice.
Rosa rested her head on the window as she looked at the city up close.
She felt so relaxed inside Volterra and she didn't know how to understand that feeling.
Alice drove into the city as she beeped so people would move out of the way as she continued to drive without care.
She drove through a crowd of people in red cloaks causing Bella to get more freaked out.
"Why are they all in red?" said Bella.
"Saint Marco's day festival, there commemorating the expulsion of vampires from the city.
It's the perfect setting, the Volturi will never let him get far enough to reveal himself" said Alice.
"We have five minutes," said Bella.
"I know, Bella.
Just breathe" said Alice.
Alice kept beeping as suddenly the police stopped her.
Bella got out of the car.
"Alice," said Bella.
"Bella, you're the only one he can't see coming.
If we go he'll read our thoughts, he'll think we're lying and rush into it" said Alice.
"Where do I go?" said Bella.
"At the edge of the clock tower, go," said Alice.
Bella watched Bella run into the sea of red as Alice began to talk to the police.
She didn't know what was going to happen as she started to realise that all this felt like she was living a story she would read in a book.
