That night Rosa looked out of the window as she struggled to sleep.
She wanted to know what was happening in Forks and if Bella was going to come to Italy to bring her home.
The minute Rosa stepped foot in the tower again she felt relaxed and at home.
Forks wasn't her home anymore and she knew she would never be able to go there again.
But then again she wasn't sure that she wanted to as Bella would hate her and she didn't want to feel with that without Caius.
Caius made everything seem ok which is why she could never be afraid of him.
She didn't want to be anyway.
She had been hurt too much to know that fear.
This morning she felt the worst pain in her entire life and she didn't want to feel that again as it made her feel like she was dying.
It felt like her body was shutting down and unlike Bella she only felt a little bit of depression as most of the bond caused that agonizing burning pain.
Suddenly she felt hands on her waist.
She looked over her shoulder to see Caius.
"You should be resting darling," he said.
"I know but I can't," she said as she looked into his eyes to see a brighter red.
They were beautiful and she couldn't get enough of the ruby-red colour.
"Why?" he said.
"I left my family to come back.
Bella will possibly come here to bring me home and my father will feel heartbroken as he trusted me to never leave him.
I left him and I won't see him again" she said.
"If Bella dares to come here again I will kill her slowly and your father will forgive you," he said.
"My mother left him almost exactly as I left.
He won't forgive me" she said.
"I will allow you to send letters.
You must not tell him about where you are or who I am.
That is my one rule" he said.
"I know and I won't," she said.
He turned her around "Good.
I do not wish to lose you again and I will always protect you with my life" he said.
She looked at him "You aren't alive" she said.
"Indeed but I can still be killed and I would die for you," he said.
"Live for me instead, please," she said.
"Of course.
You won't have to worry about me leaving you for a very long time" he said.
She smiled "I like that," she said.
He kissed her head "I knew you would" he said.
She looked at him before looking at his lips.
"Caius" she said.
"Yes my darling," he said.
"Kiss me," she said.
He looked at her before placing his lips on hers as he placed his hands on both sides of her face.
His lips were cold but soft and as their lips moved together she felt complete and safe.
A human shouldn't feel safe in the arms of a vampire but nothing about him made her want to run away.
She knew if he wanted to kill her she would have been dead when she walked back into the throne room.
