Two months passed as Rosa sat on Caius's bed as she read a book about Italian.
She wanted to learn it and had been each time Caius wasn't with her.
The days were similar but a few things changed.
Caius had shown her the gardens at night to avoid her seeing his skin shimmer.
He told her everything she wanted to know and without her knowing he painted her and drew her while she was asleep or unaware of what he was doing.
He painted her so that one day when she was a vampire he still had the old her because he never wanted to forget her when she was human as him loving her when she was human was important to the both of them.
It was so peaceful that entire morning as Caius sat in the throne room to have a meeting with his brothers about a guard that had been killing humans in Volterra to prove that he was above them.
Caius needed him dead as he knew about Rosa and could kill her.
If only he knew what would happen that one time that he wasn't with her.
Rosa continued to read before drinking some of the coffee Jane brought her that morning.
Rosa then looked back at her book before the door opened.
She looked at the door and saw nothing.
That was when she automatically knew that something was wrong.
Suddenly she was in the guard's arms.
The same guard that the kings were trying to kill without creating panic among the other guards.
His hand were around her and it made her feel sick as his face scared her.
He didn't look like a person.
"Your mate is trying to kill me," he said.
"I wonder what he would do if I drained you" he said before stuffing his head into her neck.
He smelt her before licking her neck causing her to scream out.
She almost did until he put a hand over her mouth "You smell so good.
I see why he won't turn you.
I bet he'll hate that he felt her alive" he said before biting her neck causing her to scream out.
Caius had bitten her weeks ago and the way he did it made her feel euphoric.
This vampire made her scream as he tore her neck.
Tears rolled down her face as he broke from her neck.
Blood poured onto the floor as she realised that she was going to die.
But suddenly Caius and Aro we're in the room.
The vampire threw her causing her to collapse on the floor.
Caius looked at her before growling.
He tore the vampire off while he was still alive as Aro rushed to Rosa.
"What have we done?" Aro said as he thought back to a few days ago when he told Caius to not kill the vampire.
Venom filled her veins causing her to scream from the feeling.
"Brother, you must take the venom out.
I won't let her turn like this" said Aro.
Caius rushed to her as she screamed from the pain.
"You must," said Aro.
"You wished for her to be turned," said Caius.
"By you brother and when she is ready" Aro said.
Caius looked at her before biting her neck.
He took the venom out as the vampire laid ok the floor in multiple pieces.
Caius then lifted off of her as he used his love for her to stop.
He looked at her as her sweet blood covered his tongue.
"You will put every vampire in our guard on trial and you will kill the ones that are a risk.
If you don't I will because I will not let this happen again" Caius said in a dark voice.
"Of course," said Aro before he walked out of the room.
Caius kissed her head before carrying her to the bed.
She was covered in blood and he needed to change her but he would never do such a thing unless she wished for him to do it.
