My eyes flutter open when I feel the temperature suddenly drop. I turn around on the bed, wrapping the blanket securely around me when I notice the blue sky outside the window. I stare aimlessly at the sky for a few seconds before getting out of bed and into the balcony. Miss Song's house opposite my balcony looks like some enchanted house.

The chill air kisses my skin as I shiver. Everything looks so peaceful at this hour. I bet the beach looks almost enchanting at this time. The thought leaves me restless and I suddenly have the urge to go to the beach. It's not so far from here but will anyone notice if I leave the house?

Stepping downstairs, I look around to see if anyone's awake. It's only 5 am. I slowly open the door to my parent's room and notice both of them in deep slumber. I flinch when dad suddenly snores loudly. Poor Hyeko. I quickly ran back to my room, grabbing a coat before coming back down to wear my shoes. I walk out of the house, my body full of jitters as I feel a gust of cold air hit me. "Where are you off so early in the morning, child?" A posh, soft-spoken voice stops me in my tracks as I whip my head around to see Miss Song holding the laundry basket on her hip as a warm smile is plastered on her wrinkled yet elegant face.

"Oh, good morning Miss Song! I was just headed out to the ocean for the sunrise." I say more like a question to which she shakes her head, chuckling.

"Please don't tell this to my parents?" I plead as I try to get my hair out of my face. "Of course, but you must stay safe and be back home soon, I'll be keeping notice of you" I smile contently and quickly thank her as she simply ushers me off and laughs before I make my way to the ocean.

The sight of the magnificent blue ocean meets my eye as I exhale, everything is so tranquil here. I remove my shoes and walk along the shore, giggling when the cold water makes contact with my bare feet.

I stop when I spot a familiar head of Brown hair. Seohyun notices me walking toward her and her face lights up with a bright smile as she walks up to me.

"Hey!" she chuckles as she almost slips on the wet sand. "Hi", I laugh as I hold her hand to help her balance.

"What are you doing here so early?" I ask, still smiling.

"I just wanted to see the sunrise from here, heard a lot of stories from people around that it's a sight to die for"

"That is true" I chuckle.

"What about you?"

"I impulsively decided to come out here, I just woke up moments ago"

"Well I'm glad you're here, I was starting to get a little bored"

We walk together in comfortable silence. "So how are you liking Busan so far?" I ask when I notice her deep in thought. She looks at me, her hair flying all over her face at the wind.

"It's really peaceful here, something I'm not used to back in Seoul, but I really like it here so far," she says fixing her hair. "How's Jihoo?" she chuckles. "Oh, he is alright, always so happy and jumpy" I laugh. "If you don't mind me asking, what-"

"He's autistic," I say looking at her.

"Oh"

"Yeah"

"It must be an adventure every day for you then, with him around," she says, running her hands in her hair. "He can be hard to deal with sometimes but he's such a good kid, he never had any malice in his heart"

"I can tell, he's quite the sunshine, couldn't stop talking about the trees and flowers when I was bringing him back to you" she laughs.

"So do you go to school downtown?" she asks, stopping and looking at me. "Yeah, it ends in two days, I'm not sure how to feel about it"
